i bought it as a joke, but i use it when i take a bath i can safely read hands free. Much better product than I anticipated. Without the TP roll thing it would be great to use by any chair.

Wobbles a bit

The three plastic feet below the base will not avoid wobbling. I used hot melt glue to attach three slightly thinker small wood pieces and that took most of the wobble out, but not all. There is almost no way to completely eliminate wobble with the flexible metal arm so you'll get some wobble as you tap an iPad screen. A nicely constructed stand otherwise with a very heavy base. The holder does not fit the new iPad Air. An adjustable iPad holder would be a nice feature. It should be sold as a stand alone device.

I bought this for my 10yr old, not with the intention of EVER using it in the bathroom, and we haven't. I bought it because it seemed very sturdy compared to other stands I've seen on here that appear they will tip if you move too fast. This is solid, and very sturdy with a nice heavy base. This item is not tall, but perfect for my sons room as it is right at his bed hieght and I don't have to see him with his iPad in his face anymore. He hangs a monkey from the bars for the tp, we did not install the little tp roll holder. Highly recommended for kid use!

works great, very well thought out. pretty solid. I thought this would come with both iPad and iPhone holder, but it's only for the iPad. I went back to look, you have to be careful as there are two part numbers. For the most part, it's well constructed and will keep your iPad in place

Great milestone birthday gift

This was quite the conversation piece at my friend's 60th birthday! I had hoped it would fit my Surface Pro, for taking bubble baths and catching up on my shows. But it's only designed for an iPad. Would have been nice and I would have kept it if it had. My friend owns it now, it was the hit of his birthday celebration, even put together by a guest so we could all see how it worked.

WARNING - DO NOT BUY!

The one I received was obviously one that had been returned. I could put it all together except for the tablet holder (which doesn't look like the one in the picture) that attaches to the pole. It obviously was not made correctly to attach to the pole. So I am sure that is why whomever had it last returned it. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME DEALING WITH THIS ITEM.

Bought this as a gag gift but, turns out, it really works well. Was a little perturbed when the box arrived damaged (vendor did NOT pack it very well) so I would have given it a 5-star rating otherwise. I recommend sending the vendor a message asking them to pack it better so it doesn't slide around inside the outer box and/or get punctured.

I bought this with valid intentions, but now I'm dragging it all over the house. I realize that adding 8 pounds to a tablet kind of defeats the purpose, but the grab-n-go gooseneck design is great for transporting; and it always lands on its feet... foot. Plus, my dog loves the TP roll--it's easily his favorite toy. Apple should get wise and make this an official accessory.

I bought the pedestal as a Xmas gift for my wife. She placed it beside the bedstead and uses it nightly. Of all my Xmas gifts she loves this one the best. Incidentally she does not use it in then bathroom.
