It's a cute pencil sharpener. Nicely decorated and detailed. It will; make you smile and puts a nice sharp point on the old Ticonderoga No. 2. You stick the pencil into his missing leg and twist to sharpen. His pants pull off to empty the shavings. It's not very easy to take this guy's little pants off - Usually causes the shavings to go flying across the room. The actual sharpener is too small so that the shavings get stuck between the sharpener and the inside of the pirate so that you have to empty it more often than should be necessary. Overpriced for what it is.

Adorable but cheap, he falls apart often and he doesn't sharpen well either, the led breaks off almost everytime.

Pretty cool little pencil sharpener, not if you're looking for something that's going to sharpen pencils in high volume but the 9 year old who lives in the house loves this and we didn't have a pencil sharpener.

It's cute and funny, which is honestly why I purchased it in the first place. I was disappointed that it broke on first use, though. It seems like it should be able to sharpen pencils without falling apart.

this thing is hilarious and an effective pencil sharpener. it was a stocking stuffer for my 68 year old dad, he thought it was super funny and keeps it on his desk
