I bought two of these hats; one to use for a Halloween costume, and the other for my husband to wear at work. It's an awesome hat. He wears it every day and it worked very well for my son's Ash costume.

After looking around at the various "Ash Ketchum hats" out there, this is the only one that even comes close to accurately resembling the logo design on the hat as shown on the television show. The hat itself is of fantastic quality -- a great embroidering job on the logo, a durable feel to the materials used in the white and red portions of the hat, yet very comfortable. It seems like it would be simple enough to "get it right" when replicating this hat, and yet Swagge is the only one that has.

The one issue I had was that Swagge opted to shift the hat's front logo slightly to the right, in order to visually balance the logo with respect to the hat. Visually, it makes sense, and depending on what you're going for, that might be fine. However, if you're looking for authenticity to the hat worn by Ash Ketchum, the shift is very noticeable and off-putting, even from far away. Don't let that deter you from ordering from Swagge, though, as not only are they the only ones who come close to an accurate Ash Ketchum hat, but they're also accommodating enough to get it right for you. Maybe shoot them a message before ordering (or during the order, if that's possible) and specify that you would like the logo centered. The centered version does an amazing job in recreating the look of the show's hat.

This is the hat I'd recommend for ANYONE looking to add Ash's iconic cap to their collection. Or, if you're cosplaying, get this Swagge Ash Ketchum hat, and pair it up with Level Up Studios' Pokémon Gym Badges. The only thing that would make this even better would be a baseball cap design where the back is solid, instead of the mesh "trucker hat" design, so that you can turn your hat backwards like Ash occasionally does, and it'll look normal. But hey, that's a tiny detail. Perhaps they're working on that for the future. ;)

Great hat, fun to wear in public

I wore this hat almost every day my senior year of high school (I was just too lazy to do my hair and always wanted to wear a Pokemon hat backwards). It lasted me a long time and was very fun to wear. About once a day people would stop me in the street or at the store and compliment my hat.

This was all a few years before Pokemon Go came out, it's an iconic hat that many millenials will recognize quickly.
Would definitely buy again.

Product Varies

This is the second time I've purchased this hat, and it appears the product varies across instances. The first time, packaging was brilliant, the hat was a good size, and everything seemed to be well crafted.

On the second time around however, the experience was less than satisfying. First, the box the hat came in was far too small, so the hat was squished upon arrival, leaving some rather noticeable creases in the fabric. Second, the craftsmanship leaves something to be desired. The hat is comically larger than the first one, and the little rope band that goes across the crease between the bill and from of the hat is loose and awkward looking. It's a serviceable replacement for the one I had earlier, but nowhere near the same quality.

Just be aware that buying is potentially hit or miss.

Most accurate and cheapest replica

Did the research and this is the cheapest Ash hat that isn't custom made and is accurate. The adjustable strap should be able to fit most head sizes and there's a big enough gap where you could put a pontytail through. Also, I had out my hair up and the hat still fit fine (I have tons of hair).

I gave it 4 stars because it is not an "exact replica" meaning that the back half the hat is mesh while Ash's hat in anime/manga is not. However, the material in the front of the hat is a bit insulating so having the mesh helps with airflow. All in all a great product

I love this hat! The green emblem on the front of the hat is embroidered in a clean fashion on the cushion white fabric and is very accurate to the anime. The back of the hat is a red mesh like you would find on any other trucker style cap. It has snap-back adjustment on the back to fit anyone from teen to adult.

The reason i bought this is because the official licensed hat is made for little kids and wouldn't fit me.

Only problem i had was with my seller Swagge. I paid for 1-3 day shipping but my hat did not arrive on time. Heads up to any cosplayers that need their hat on time. Order early so you get it on time!

It's on par with what to expect of ball caps like this that are netted to allow your head to "breathe" and not get sweaty.

I grabbed this for the purposes of improving a cosplay outfit and this works very nicely.

Good for a Pokemon Fan

Hat was adult-sized as expected (we bought it for a 5-year-old) but is quite thin. I expected a little more heft to it. The embroidery seems to be well done though and hasn't let go yet (now that I'm reviewing some 8 months later). My son really enjoys wearing it around.

Hat arrived crushed

The hat itself is of fine quality and I am positive my son will be thrilled with it for Christmas. However I am giving it only a 3 because the hat was crammed into a box far too small for it and crushed leaving a permanent crease across the top portion along the lower edge of the emblem. Not happy at all.

I LOVE this hat!

I've worn it twice just to the store and got complimented on it 4 times lol

People love it! I tell them to go to Amazon ;) This is the one!!

So the details on this hat, it's a snapback so it fit's a tiny head to a huge one.

I love that the hat is "deep". I have long thick hair so sometimes hats aren't deep enough and don't stay on well.

This one is ample! It fits so good and right.

I love the terry cloth sweatband on the inside brim of the hat where your forehead sits. It's so soft and cushy. :) The embroidery is superb. The design is perfect to Ash's!

I'm super happy with this hat!
