Man this thing works great. I have a propane grill and this makes it work like the old Weber smoker that I used to use. I usually have to shower after cooking a tri-tip, and get clearance (or bribe) my neighbors. Enough smoke to infuse even items that aren't on the grill for hours.

The picture shows cooking right on top of the unit. I suppose you could do that, but I put mine to one side, and let the grill fill up with smoke and use it as a smoker (kind of). Really works great. I like to try different types of wood chips. I highly recommend this if you like the taste of real smoke and not something out of a bottle.

Great smoked taste. Fill with what ever you want for chips and liquids. Best burger I have had on the grill by far. A little hard to clean but its Stainless steel and you have grease... Taste out scores the looks after a few uses.

This product works well as a grill surface and as a smoker. The only problem is that the whole unit has to be close enough to the flame or heat to be effective and then replacing wood chips can be difficult if you can't open the tray far enough.
