Leaky Connection due to design flaws...

The fire hose is a good idea, the design has some serious flaws. The first day when I hooked it up water was squirting from the hose attachment. I saw the screws on the side of it and turned water off and tried to tighten the screws. The screws literally just rotated in their thread casing. This area should be metal but plastic cannot hold up to the force of the hose especially when turned off/on. I returned mine. Don't waste your money.

My daughter is two and she LOVES playing outside in the water. I used to turn the hose sprayer on so it was constantly on for her. Once I put this on and showed her how to work it, she was so happy. She is easily able to turn the water on and off and spray everyone. When I first put this on our hose it leaked out of the back a lot of water. There are a couple of screws on that plastic coupler so I loosened them off a little bit then screwed the coupler onto the hose and snugged the screws up. This totally eliminated all the leaking coming out of that coupler. The sprayer is plastic and seems a bit thin so if you have bigger kids or kids who are really rough you may have problems with it getting broken. I imagine if someone threw it or dropped it hard onto a sidewalk it may break but for us, out in the grass playing in the water this is great. I am going to get one for my niece who I know also loves the hose and is about two years old as well. My daughter thinks it's so much fun to let the pressure build up in the hose then turn it on and spray myself or my wife. Good outdoor fun for summer!

Thanks to another reviewer I knew to unscrew the screws on the collar, twist the collar onto the hose, then tighten the screws. I don't know why it works to stop the leaking but it does.

I found that this item leaked a bit. My granddaughter played with it and it is easy for a 3 year old to handle, but not fitting all that well was an issue.
