I'm glad I didn't pay attention to the poor reviews on this item. My son, who needs a night light still (and loves Batman) thought this was the coolest thing EVER, and I agree. The light was strong enough to hit a wall 10 feet away and the image was crisp and clear. That its pen sized is an added bonus because he can bring it anywhere for sleepovers or on a plane to his Grandparents with no bulk or added weight in his backpack.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this!

My son loves this pen. It writes like a normal pen. Nothing fancy about that. The light is pretty bright and the Batman logo is nice and crisp.

Like this pen very much. Projection is very cool. Our son was disappointed when the side clip broke off within the first 15 minutes. Obviously made cheaply.

Still a good pen.

I bought this for my 20 year old grandson and he liked it. He is all about batman and has many tee shirts with him. One says something like you never see batman and me together. I figured he would think it pretty cool and he did..

This product is really great for what it is and especially for the price. The pen itself works well, it took me a minute to figure out you just turn the tip of the pen to bring the point in and out, but from there it writes well, similar to a better than average ballpoint. The spotlight bat logo is really excellent, it projects a very clear bat symbol up to a pretty decent distance and it's bright enough to be used as a flashlight in a pinch. I'm very pleased with the product, especially for the price.

i bought this for myself. because i'm a middle-aged woman and it doesn't take much to amuse me sometimes.

not to mention i have a neighbor who has bats who make the space behind her shutters into their home/breeding ground a few times each summer.

we sit in her driveway at dusk to watch them coming out to hunt for food. and, yes, we have to dodge them at times. i'd say it's definitely strange to see three of us (all adults) sitting in her driveway, backs to the street, staring at her shutters....

i'm going to use the bat signal next summer. because it's only fitting that i do. :)

I bought this for my son (he's 4) I didn't realize it was a pen, I thought it was just the light. I haven't written with the pen yet, but the light is AWESOME! It's powerful, clear and strong. My son loves it! Totally worth the price.

Neat little bat signal. Decent image projected up to a few feet. Not sure if there is a way to replace the battery or bulb, though.
