Best baby product out there
by Jessica Schmitt (5 out of 5 stars)

This is one of the greatest baby products out there. Before we discovered this tent, we were either hauling a pack n play with us wherever we went, or when we traveled by air we would actually BUY another pack n play at our destination because it cost less than the round-trip fare to check it. This tent has solved those problems!! Our son, who is a bit of a "high needs" baby, has slept in it beautifully... We actually use it as our full time "crib" now so that he's comfortable with it whenever we travel. The major advantages are: 1. It has a padded base, so it's comfortable for him. On carpet that's all he needs, but on a wood floor I put a blanket down on the floor under the tent for extra padding. 2. He can sort of sit up in it (though his head hits the roof) but he can't stand up in it, which actually makes him more likely to decide to lay down and just go to sleep. Previously he would stand in his crib and play rather than lie down and go to sleep. 3. Packing and unpacking it is a breeze. It takes a small learning curve to pack it back up, but I watched a video and I've got it now. Quick and easy. 4. The quality is great. We have been using it every day for 2 months so far and it is looking great. 5. It's big enough for our son to feel comfortable, but small enough that it takes up a pretty small footprint, and packs down very small. Our son is 13 months, 24 lbs and has plenty of room to grow. 6. The tent is adequately ventilated and not too hot. The fact that the tent material is a dark in color is a bonus as it keeps it darker inside. The first time I put him in the tent I let him see it and play in it during the day, then used the same bedtime routine we do every day and put him in it like I would his crib and zipped him in. He fell asleep in it just as quickly as if he'd been in the crib. I wish I had known about this product earlier! It is one of my all-time favorite baby products, and I feel zealous to the point that I could be a spokesperson for this product! :) I should add that in the photo my son is sleeping with a blanket in the tent, which is not recommended by the company for safety reasons. We feel comfortable doing this because he is over one, but I would not have put anything extra in it when he was smaller. He sleeps fine on top of the tent material with no blanket underneath him.

5+ stars. Daughter sleeps in this every night.

We bought this tent for our trip to Mexico when our daughter was 8 months old. We needed something light weight, compact, and completely bug proof. It was perfect and she loved it so much that when we came back after only 1 week, she didn't want to sleep in her crib. She is now almost 18 months old and still sleeps in this thing. We bungie chord it to a full sized bed and she sleeps so comfortably. She even has 15 to 30 minutes of quiet reading time every day in her tent. Also, it has held up extremely well. I dont think it was designed for daily use, both naps and nighttime sleep, but after 10 months of use and multiple vacations and trips, it is still in perfect condition. No fraying string. Zipper is still fine. No holes in the mesh. It is amazing. We recommend it to everyone with kids because it makes traveling so much easier and because our daughter loves it. I would give it more stars if I could. Such a great product.

Peapod Great Travel BedπŸš™πŸπŸšƒπŸš‚βœˆοΈπŸ›³πŸš¦β›ΊοΈπŸœπŸŒ‡πŸπŸ”

This is a wonderful travel bed for infants and toddlers. It is lightweight. It is lightweight and relatively compacted. Our family does several international holidays throughout the year with our two little children, this is the best solution for our family. The KidCo Peapod little is set up upon opening. It has a very nice pad attached to the bottom underside of the Pod, it is detachable for washing purposes.

The Peapod is durable, and large enough for older children as well as babies. It can easily fit an averaged size 4-5 year old. Our son is 2 1/2 and fits easily with plenty of room for growth.

Peapod is very easy to fols for storage. It comes with clear instruction equipped with comprehensive, step by step pictures.

Our chilled love the travel bed it's a great design and I highly recommend it.

The BEST travel bed for baby
by Lori Copeland (5 out of 5 stars)
April 1, 2017

This popup bed was so great for traveling with our 13 month old. We were gone for 3 weeks and the baby slept comfortably in the Peapod during our trip. It was small enough to fit in our suitcase on the plane. On the way back, we kept it out for our long lay-over (It's pretty lightweight and easy enough to carry) and my daughter slept in it in the airport! I was worried after seeing some of the reviews that said their baby didn't want to get in it. So here's how we introduced it: We made a big deal of the box coming in the mail just for her. The next day we looked at the pictures on the box of all the babies sleeping in it. At this point, she started calling it "Baby Night Night" which is what we continued to call it. The next day, during nap time, we put the Peapod in her crib and allowed her to try sleeping in it. We zipped it every time we used it so there was not a time when she thought that sleeping in it unzipped was okay. When we got to our hotel, she was excited to see that "Baby Night Night" was with us. This was one of the best purchases we've made!

Just be aware that if vomiting occurs inside the PeaPod, it's almost impossible to remove the smell. :(

Game changer for this travel loving large family.

This tent is great. Baby loves it, I lay him in it to nap every few days so he's used to it when we need it for overnight outings. I love how compact it is for travel. This is our 7th child and traveling is complicated enough without having to figure out how to haul a big pack and play with us. We'll be visiting the states from Japan this spring and I love that I can just throw this in my luggage and be prepared. I'm excited to use it while camping this summer as well... The choices with our other kids were just a pack and play in the middle of the tent while we all wish in on the sides, have a baby rolling all over us, or avoid camping altogether. This tent is a game changer!

It is a little bigger than we were expecting, but hopefully it won't be too big in the tent. I think it's footprint is similar to that of a regular size sleeping bag width.

I watched the video to fold it up and could do it at a couple tries. But when I tried again a month later without watching the video I couldn't figure it out! I'm sure it will become easier with practice. But till then, I'll be watching the video!

I bought this for my 9 month old son to take to Grandma's for naps and for traveling so I won't have to lug our Pack n Play. It's super easy to pack and unpack. Super light and compact. Really exceeded my expectations. My son lives it and I'll probably have to buy one for my 4 year old as well lol!

More practical than a pack n play for travel
by Maria (4 out of 5 stars)
July 28, 2018

I knew before I had my son that I was going to be flying with him this upcoming august for my sister's wedding, so I opted for a pack n play that could double as his crib at home. Does it work? Yes. Is it a hassle to travel with? Absolutely. It's heavy (not over 50 lbs but it's annoying to lug around) and it takes like 10 minutes to fold and wrap up which is like 5 years to a baby that doesn't want to just sit there in his car seat until you're done. That that was just for traveling 20 minutes to my sister's house.

Well I decided that where we're going he'll be outside and it's summer and mosquitoes are an issue, so I got this for outdoor protection. Turns out that it doubles perfectly as a travel bed for my 4 month old.

Pros:
- Mesh siding reduces risk of SIDS
- There's padding underneath that looks detachable for cleaning in case you lay it in dirt
- Fits easily inside a suitcase, even carry on sized, for easy traveling
- Top is shaded to protect from the sun outside
- Decent size, I feel like it'll be useful for years (my son is big for his age)
- Comes with a convenient carrying bag

Cons:
- Difficult to clean unless you use a hose (this is actually my second peapod, as the first one got tomato soup on it (long story) and as hard as I tried I guess I didn't clean it well enough and it got mold on it. Not putting my son in something that got moldy, even if I were to pay for professional cleaning.)
- Folding it back up is confusing and a little tricky at first
- Not exactly durable, be careful where you set it so you don't trip and fall on it

So much better than a pack-n-play but make sure you test it with your kid first
by Stacey Hanson (5 out of 5 stars)
October 4, 2019

We're getting to that age where our daughter is old enough that pack-n-plays are obnoxious to deal with while traveling but she's too young to sleep in a bed (we don't cosleep and want to avoid it for all our sleep's sakes).

Enter the Peapod. This thing is amazing. It folds up small, weighs next to nothing compared to a pack-n-play, and provides a comforting sleep space that *looks the same* to your kid no matter where you travel. I'm really not looking forward to having to lug around pack-n-plays again when we have kid #2.

Few notes:
- This is not a safe sleep space for <12 mo as it reduces air flow which is a risk factor for SIDS. Pack-n-plays are certified for infant sleep and are the safest option for <12mo.
- You *need* to sleep your kid in this thing at least one night at home on the floor of their room before traveling (ideally a few days ahead of time in case the first night goes poorly). Make it a whole thing - tell them you got them their *very own tent*, make a big deal about opening it up, have *them* put their stuffed animals in it. Now our daughter crawls into it on her own at bedtime. I would not try it for the first time while traveling. If they aren't into it, it's game over. Even with careful introduction your kid may refuse to sleep through the night in it (happened to our friends) so know how to rent/request a pack-n-play as a backup option.
- It can get quite warm when zipped - careful of overheating. We got our daughter up from a few naps to find her dripping in sweat despite appropriate clothing for the temp. Err on the side of less clothing especially for naps. You may need to put them to sleep in it, then sneak back in and unzip it to let air flow. You may also need to put them to bed in just jammies then later add a sleep sack after they go to sleep for the night if camping outdoors.
- The bottom mat is not very thick; we put it on top of a thermarest while camping for insulation + cushion.
- Watch the YouTube video to learn to fold it. Don't try to wing it.

Know your child! Easy carry on, great sleep solution.
by Jac (5 out of 5 stars)
August 14, 2017

This tent was larger than I expected when it popped open so easily out of the carry case. Overall a really great product! Provided us with a place for our daughter to sleep where she couldn't get to things in a completely non-baby-proofed house while we visited. I was a little hesitant because the product says 1+. I say, "know your baby". Our daughter was 7 months old but was old enough to get into a sitting position, pull up and cruise so we felt confident in her ability to move out of any edges of the tent. The only challenge was that she tried crawling up the side and then threw her body backwards which almost flipped the tent, but that is her doing and nothing wrong with the product at all. Like all baby products, use with common sense! We loved how easily this tent set up, went back in the case and fit in our backpack for air travel. Glad I bought it after my initial hesitancy from outdated warnings about an older version of the product.

Great for travel with a crawling baby
by Gina (5 out of 5 stars)
June 4, 2019

Perfect for traveling with a baby who is crawling and needs a safe place to nap. It has a little padding on the bottom so my baby was comfy sleeping on a rug. It does get a little warm in there so I dress her in less clothing and make sure the room is ventilated. Folding it up takes a few attempts until you get the hang of it but it's fits easily in the bag and is very light. The tent takes no assembly as it naturally pops open when you remove it from the bag. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Kind of feels like a pet tent
by explainer guy (3 out of 5 stars)

Kind of feels like a pet tent, but it fit our needs and the kid slept in it.

Will probably put it more to use as a pitch tent for shade and sleep when going out to the park more so than a bed when we travel, but right size, right price for sure.

If you're a jet-setting parent that doesn't want to be slowed down by your kids and youre looking for a travel bed, this is a perfect choice.

Product material is too Noisy, kid did not get much sleep
by Lila (2 out of 5 stars)
June 10, 2016

Purchased for trip for Hawaii. My 1 yr old did not like this product. It is too nosiy on the inside. She was absolutely mortified by all the noise. I wished the material was different. Every time she moved around it woke her and myself up. It did not work out for our family. We were both sleep deprived after using this product for 1 night. Definitely not for light sleepers.
