Great for Toyota Yaris
by bdsaintess (5 out of 5 stars)

Each week for about 4 hours I am stuck working from my car on my laptop. This has become a great investment as it gives me somewhere to prop my laptop. I have a Toyota Yaris sedan, and it fits perfectly on the wheel and my seat goes just far enough back to use it comfortably. I like it's size, too - i just slide it in between the seat and middle console until I need to use it again.

Perfect for an Starfleet Helmsman
by George Takei (5 out of 5 stars)

My husband Brad always warns me not to try and update my Facebook page while I'm driving. "You'll hit another pedestrian," he says. "This isn't the Enterprise, there isn't a deflector array." Then along comes a miracle product like this! I can now happily fly at warp speed down the streets of Los Angeles, laptop or mobile device perched right in front of me, so I can keep both eyes right on it AND on the road. It's so much easier to ignore all the frightened screams and annoying honking when you've got Facebook to look at while driving. Thank you, Wheelmate!

Great gadget

I bought this for my husband because he has to use his laptop in his truck and this looked way better than trying to set it on the center console and try to turn and use the computer.

A back saver! Fits 2010 F-150 steering wheel
by Raymond (5 out of 5 stars)
March 5, 2018

Due to my occupation I'm on the road quite a bit. More frequently than I prefer I have to work on the laptop in the truck due to a last minute request (*cough someone else's lack of planning cough*). In a dusty but roomy 2010 F-150 Crew Cab Lariat 4x4 with a flip down 6th seat doubling as large flat top center console I'm usually quite comfortable. Of course only as long as I don't park with the sun beating through the drivers window, remember to turn up the laptop screen brightness, and take off the polarized sunglasses.

In a fit of unproductivity (thank you Amazon) I searched for this product because my neck and back was tired from twisting to the right. Other colleagues of mine went to the trouble and expense of mounting a full swing-arm desk similar to what you'd see in a police car--this option was expensive, an eye sore, didn't store at all, and was just in the way of every other thing you need to do with your vehicle. Half of them removed them due to inconvenience. I found this gem and thought for less than $20 I'd take a chance. Boy am I happy I did. This fits perfectly on my steering wheel even with a steering wheel cover on. It supports the weight and base size of my laptop. It stores right in the crack between my seats where it is hardly visible and easy to reach. I just back my seat up all the way and get to work. I got caught using it by a colleague and it was over, they had to buy one. This is my second because I've even had to give one away. Don't get me wrong, I still prefer to work at the desk in my office but this is the best option for those road warriors.

Slippery

Returned. Plastic is slippery. Can't use it without a non-slip under your laptop. Otherwise laptop is in your lap.

I am going to have to cut the slot larger it to make it fit better.

Too tight for my 2012 Honda Civic SI steering wheel. It is so angled that I cannot place anything on it without it sliding off. I am going to have to cut the slot larger it to make it fit better.

I am so glad this product has come along. Finally, I have a flat surface to use my Hutzler Banana Slicer while on the go.

Good, but won't fit on thick steering wheels like in an Explorer.
