I like the size of the bag, the straps are perfect size to carry on your shoulder. However, after just ONE day of carrying gym shoes and clothes, the inside pocket tore apart. I needed no unnecessary force to pack the bag, so I was very surprised when I opened it at the gym to find that the pocket had ripped. Really disappointed in the material...I wish there was a fix to this because I just bought it.

Good for Gym-Going Minimalists

Seems to be well made and is very cute. Is definitely on the smaller side for a gym bag, but that's fine with me. If you need to fit everything and the kitchen sink in your gym bag, this will not work for you (shoes + work clothes + shower supplies + water bottle will not all fit). I was hoping this could double as a weekend/overnight bag for me, but it's just a tad too small. No room for shoes!

One minor gripe: The small side pockets seem like they're designed to hold a water bottle but they are a little too small--you could fit a very slim disposable bottle of water in each, but not a normal refillable water bottle. Maybe they're for some kind of yoga strap or resistance band?
A set of nunchucks, perhaps? However, the interior will fit a lightweight set of clean post-workout duds, flip-flops, the aforementioned water bottle, and some basic shower supplies, which is all I need.

On the plus side, I love the color even more in person than I did online. It's much darker, which I'm cool with--I actually thought I had received a black one by mistake at first. The purple lining on the inside is awesome. And for the price I paid, I feel like I got a great deal!

The Best Bag!!!

I typically spend a very long time reading reviews before I purchase something. I did this of course with this bag. I wanted something light and stylish, with lots of pockets to keep me organized. I tend to bring way more with me than what is truly required and I was concerned from other reviews that this bag simply wouldn't have enough room. I compared it to the larger Gaiam bag with the sling on the side for the yoga mat. I am lucky in the way that my gym supplies all towels, mats and every toiletry you could imagine so in reality all I really wanted to have room for was a change of clothes (a tank with build in bra, a t shirt, workout pants, socks) a pair of shoes, my water bottle, keys, decent sized wallet and a few other odds and ends. While the two smaller sized pockets are not quite big enough for most water bottles, they do have Velcro and I feel it's a perfect spot for my keys on one side. With the two larger pockets on the outside I keep my wallet and phone (close to my body so I'm not pick pocketed) and the other one has lotion, sanitizer, a compact, gum, Chapstick and plenty of room left. Nothing falls out due to the magnetic clasp. The inside compartment is just the right size to fit my change of clothes, shoes ( I wear a women's 10), my eye glass case, a magazine and my iPad. There is a water bottle pocket on the inside, I use glass bottles with the sleeve and they don't fit in the pocket well however there is still room in the bag. I like how there are two zippers to the main compartment like a backpack. I can wear this bag without running in to people in close spaces. I love it so much I stopped carrying my purse and switching back and forth from this to the purse. I get lots of compliments and this bag doesn't weigh me down. For $15, it's the best bargain. I feel like it's quality and will last. I had an opportunity to see the other bag in person at Kohls and determined it was just to big. It also didn't feel as sturdy as this one. If I was going to swim and workout and bring a change of clothes for after a shower, this bag wouldn't fit it all. The bottom cord can even hold my shoes. This is the best choice as far as I'm concerned and I spent over and hour looking at several different brands and options.

Good compact bag with easy access pockets!

Great bag! Perfect size if you are looking for something small and compact -- if you travel light to the gym. LOVE the FOUR external pockets and internal pockets. Everything is easy to access and stays in place. Outside material is very good and the yoga Matt strap a plus! Four stars because the very FIRST TIME OUT of the packaging I went to open the internal zipper and the zip handle flew off -- I never found it. I figured too much hassle to exchange for just that so I used a key fob I had at home to get the zipper to work and tightened the opening with pliers. I'm being careful because inside lining does not appear as sturdy as outside material. like the purple lining color.

Small enough to be bulky. Large enough to carry my gym shoes, water bottle, toiletries and other items. The side pockets (both sides) are large and roomie. The smaller side pockets can hold a water bottle, but not a large or bulkier one. There is also a section for your water bottle inside of the bag.

I must mention the the inside came ripped, but I have had if for about two months and the rip has not widened. The bag is sturdy.

I was looking for a gym bag that would stand on its own. I was using a drawstring cinch bag, however I hated that it always fell over and I couldn't find anything in it. It had an outside pocket but no other internal pockets.

This bag has multiple internal pockets, one large with elastic which makes it super easy to stash my wallet. I know exactly where it is and it will not fall out if I leave the bag unzipped. There is a internal zipper pocket as well where I put my "feminine" supplies. External pockets holds my phone and headband.

In the inside compartment I'm able to fit my shoes, towel, ipad, and resistance bands.

Note that a water bottle is not easily stored upright in this bag. Luckily that is not a priority for me.

Pretty decent while it lasted.

This bag lasted me almost year with 4-5x/week usage and looked pretty cute as a tote. I love the compartments on the inside and outside for organization. It is a bit on the smaller side so you can only fit the essentials which will stuff it to the brim: small bag of toiletries, workout clothing (capris, tank, thinner outer coverup, sports bra, socks), sneakers, a small yoga towel, and a water bottle on the outside. With this sort of load 4-5x/week, the straps unfortunately started tearing off of the bag (at the part where they connect to the body) even though the rest of it looked ok. It comes with a band to hold a yoga mat on the bottom but I didn't use that portion, not sure how long it would hold up if the straps also had to support a yoga mat.

Exceeded expectations

I did not have high expectations for this bag. It looked unattractive, low quality, and not convenient.

Turns it out it was totally the opposite! I love it. It has plenty of pockets and easy to handle. And it's thin enough that it can fit next to a treadmill or a small locker or any area without nuisance. Haven't tried the yoga mat option but I'm sure it works well there too.

I live in NYC and have to take a few modes of public transportation everyday. It's crowded so I needed a smaller bag than what I had to carry my gym things, maybe my laptop, and sometimes a yoga mat. I needed something that would function on every level because I was tired of carrying something big and bulky and hitting people with my bag... rush hour is no place to bother people! This bag did all of that! I can fit my size 9 gym sneakers, gym clothes (pants, socks, sports bra, sweater), change of undie, Mac Air, 8.5x11 size note pad, a small cosmetic bag with my toiletries, and the bag wasn't overstuffed. It's perfect and I don't have to apologize to people for pushing them with my gym stuffs. I even used it as a carryon for an international flight where I had a change of clothes in case my luggage got lost. Big fan. Huge.

Great locker bag!

Love this bag!! It is a perfect size for the gym and pool lockers. I bought a couple of the ultra-absorbent thin towels to use at the pool and with those and this bag I have plenty of room for my other stuff. I do read reviews and I noticed some comments about the side pockets being tight - as though a water bottle would not fit. I have a refillable water bottle that is pretty much a standard size bottle and it fits fine in the pocket - the picket just needs to be stretched out a bit - it will loosen up a bit with use. This bag is nicely padded and has nice features inside - an elasticize pocket - presumably to keep wet things from dry things but I use little zipper wet bags to keep my suit and wet towels in. And it had two zipper pockets and a key ring. The outside pockets on both sides come in handy for my hair bands, hand towel, gym card, etc. And there are two of those end pockets for water bottle and whatever else. One thing I have to mention is the cord on the bottom of the bag -intended for a yoga mat in the illustration- originally I thought I'd use it for a towel, but since I got the ultra thin towels they fit inside the bag, so I use the elasticized cord wrap to carry my swim shoes! They fit perfectly under the cord wrap and when wet I just place them in one of my zippered wet bags and put them back under the cord to carry out to the car. Such a great feature for which I thought I'd have little use. The purple is beautiful. And I saw someone at my gym with the same bag in black. BTW - I bought this bag originally as a gift for my sister, but I messed up the order and ordered two by mistake - so very glad I did!
