Great learning tool

No luck at obtaining true flame but it will burn the heck out of many types of tinder. More testing to do but char cloth is a guaranteed to ignite the second you touch the light to it, no problem even on the cloudier days I tried it on. Looking for some natural tinders to work with. What ever you use make sure it is as close to black in color as you can get, anything lighter colored just reflects the light and will not ignite. Great fun, great learning tool, enjoy.

It certainly worked, even on a cloudy winter day.The spring came bent and I had to remove it and manually focus the light to get it to work, but it was able to consistently light cigarettes for everyone who was with me.
