They don't seem to work at all. I bought 6 of them because I liked the lower profile look over your traditional water globes that rest high on a stick. However after 8 days seemingly no water has come out of them. I even emptied one after 4 days, refilled it, and tried situating it again and still the same result.

I did follow the directions exactly.:

Filled them with water.

Replaced the cork.

Turned over to test that water slowly drips from the hole.

Placed level on the soil.

Tapped to ensure air bubbles come up from the hole and water can come out.

Still, aside from the moments I am tapping no water ever comes out.

I don't know if I'm not using these right or what but after filling and putting the cork in firmly, the water still runs out within a couple hours. They are really cute and I bought them so my coworker does not have to water my plants as much while I'm on maternity leave but they are really no help at all if they are going to drain within a day

I love the idea of these. However, the water doesn't always leak out unless the hole is touching the soil. Also it holds a very small amount of water, not the best for long term ( over a week). The price is way to high for what you are getting.

Love these little globes. They are working exactly as advertised. Putting Miracle Gro in the water makes the water blue, which helps me see if there is enough water and makes the globe sit pretty in the pot.

Keeps plants moist, very thin so be careful

These are great for keeping plants moist. I tend to forget to water and these help. Be careful as the glass is very thin and one of these broke in my hand with little pressure.

These are pretty cool. Definitely a less conspicuous way to keep your plants watered as opposed to all the brightly colored water bulbs. Also, because it sits on top of the soil instead of a tube into the soil, it doesn't get clogged. Refill is super easy with the cork plugs.

Can't get them to work

These are very cool looking, but I have tried everything and I can't get them to work - that is, the water level in the globe doesn't go down no matter how dry the plant gets. I have followed the directions exactly... not sure what the problem is. Mostly I use them now just to have water on hand; when I see that the plant is dry, I uncork them and water it.

They are nice looking in the pot. They are pretty picky about placement. If they are not placed just right, they empty in about a day. One of the two has an odd shape on the plug so the cork does not have a good seal and empties in just a few hours.

I purchased these for our office lobby plants and they have worked out great. So great, in fact, that two have been taken. Better than other glass waterers

I am using this to water a small potted plant that I have which should not be over watered. This product does the trick. easy to use. I do however have a small round pot with a bamboo plant and it does not fit in that pot, so at the moment I have 1 of the 2 stored in the closet.
