Great idea, poor execution

One of the caps will count for a few seconds and then blank out. The caps are a little confusing to use at first bc there are two parts and they do not screw on tightly (if you try, it will pop and unscrew itself) - so definitely not child proof.

The concept is really useful though. I take multiple meds in the AM and the PM, so I just use one for one of the meds in the morning and one for the evening - ie, don't need to have each individual medicine in a timer bc I know if I took the AM one, I've taken all the other AMs, etc.

Cap doesn't hold on included bottle

Great idea. Unfortunately doesn't fit Safeway RX bottles, and the included bottle with the timer doesn't work either. The timer turns on with a certain amount of pressure as it's tightened on the bottle - but the included bottle or the cap itself has a manufacturing problem. If you attempt to tighten the timer to an adequate tightness, the cap simply loosens enough to stop the timer and pop right off the bottle. When this happens, the bottle won't even hold the pills. You have to be very delicate and careful to spin the cap to not-full-tightness and leave it there, which probably will work fine for pills you leave in a medicine cabinet or on a counter, but will not work for mobile bottles stored in a purse or travel bag.

Worked for awhile

Worked great at first but in just a short time it stopped working every day. It only works sometimes so I tried the second cap and it doesn't work at all. I know I can change the batteries but their not that old so I don't want to have to buy batteries for a almost new or new product.

I recommend this product for anyone who has to take meds at certain times of the day or meds that can only be taken a certain number of times a day. I recommend it for either young or older individuals. Young people can forget too, especially with how hectic schedules & either work, school, or life in general can get. I like it bcuz it's simple to use. Doesn't require an app like some timer caps do. This product comes highly recommended. I wish I would've thought of it.

Very useful to know just when you last opened the pill bottle if you have meds with different times and frequencies. Be careful to look at the timing before you loosen the cap once it's on, because it stops timing immediately and reverts to a blank screen until you screw it on again. Then it starts over immediately. Don't yet know how long these will last, but they do the job of sorting out the schedule for meds. They do NOT have any alarm--best use your mobile device clock or a kitchen timer for that.

Cheaply made. Have to fiddle with it to keep the timer on. But does what I need for now. The safety ring it comes with completely turns off the timer. Thankfully I don't have small children to worry about tampering with it.

Nothing beats waking after surgery at 2 am, groggy and in pain and trying to figure out if you can take another pain pill yet. This little bottle cap timer tells me how long since last does. The timer is a little small and not backlit or I would give them a 5. These bottles can help prevent overdose!

Note to others, I labeled the bottles with 6 and 4 to indicate how many hours I had to wait to the next dose and the initials of the drug. Much better than trying to find my note as to when I took the last dose of either of them and make more notes in the middle of the night. Spouse can also help keep me on track. Buy them BEFORE surgery!!

I had some timer caps from the pharmacy I buy my pills, but they discontinued them. Because I work nights, and my schedule varies, I needed an option that told me how much time had passed, not the kind that set an alarm (and I see everywhere).

These work fine for that. I am disappointed they won't securely fit the top of my orange pill bottle. I have to use the bottles that come with them. That's going to be a problem when I travel, but I guess I'll deal with it when I get there. For now, my pills are kept with a "time since last opened" timer on them, in the white bottles, so I know how long it's been since I took them. Good enough

I was on the fence at first because I didn't want to put the money out for it - as there were cheaper caps, similar caps etc... Glad I did! -I'd say do it if you're thinking of it!

A real life saver for people like me who are so rushed in life and A.D.D. - I can't remember if I just took the pill bottle out and was GOING to take it.... or if I already DID take it.When you're dealing with meds that could be dangerous if you took too many - it's a great great tool.

I opted for the "senior" cap - as in it doesn't lock. I thought it would be best as my hands sometimes won't allow me to grip or open things.. but next time I'll go for locking. Simply because it doesn't have such a tight "click" or seal. There have been 2 times that the lid either wasn't put on right or it came off - I'm not sure which.. but the lid was off and therefore the timer was blank and " (expensive ) pills were spilled out into my purse.

I'll get the child lock next time for sure.

This company is amazing and the timer caps are too.

I accidentally dropped mine in the parking lot and backed out, over the bottle with my pills inside. A friend ordered and sent me a replacekmentext but with a DIFFERENT brand. .but I had already ordered a replacement of THIS BRAND. Now que warpy,trippy fast forward music to today .......the display on the OTHER brand is faded and dead....but this timer looks brand new

Great product with questionable battery life.

This is a great product, but the battery life estimate isn't even close to one year.

I just bought 2 bottles in August of 2017 and here I am in January of 2018 buying another set because one of the caps just ran out of batteries just 6 months after purchase.
