Disappointing.

I was attracted to the novelty of the plug in feature. And I will admit, that was nice. But it seems like all the r&d went to that and that alone. I purchased this in February. And since then, I have only dropped it twice, and now it does not charge the phone, essentially making it worthless. I liked the fact that they put a external USB port on the phone, but the placement of it creates problems. First it's awkward to use while charging. Second, the first time I dropped it landed on the corner and of course, it was that corner. It cracked the case and smashed the USB port. I thought it was a goner than. However, I was able to carefully bend it back to shape with some small tools. The case is a little bulky, but not horrible. The earphone extension is annoying. You have to either carry the jack extension with you everywhere or take the case apart to use the jack. Anyway, only lasted me less than five months.

I have purchased this same phone case in the past and really liked it. This particular one seems to cause my phone to overheat, the screen to freeze, and the touch screen temporarily lost sensitivity. So I stopped using it. No permanent damage to my phone, but save your money and get a different case!

I bought this phone for my dad, he forgets his charger everywhere because he loses them on a daily basis. I solved the problem by getting him this.

He upgraded to the iphone 6 plus so he no longer needs this case.

I started using the case after he upgraded and I didn't like it so much because I don't lose my chargers and having to take the case off to charge my phone when I wanted to use my phone was somewhat of a hassle I got bored dealing with. The charging port being non-apple, it makes only having that particular input cable for the case around somewhat troublesome. .

But overall, the case feels good in the hand, its useful, and sturdy.

Love this case. I usually always carry an extra charger with me everywhere, but not anymore. The size of this case reminds me of the Mophie Juicepack, but is a tad lighter. Some reviews bash on the fact that you "need" to use a 3.5mm headphone adapter, but this does not annoy me at all. I have a pair of Samsung and Skullcandy wired headphones that do not need the adapter!
I have been using this case for almost two days now and will update this review if anything changes. Also, I did not receive this item for free or at any discount for this review.

I used this for awhile and then the iPhone 6x came along. I still have it if anyone's interested? I found the charger to be very reliable and relatively just as fast as any other way to charge your phone. The built in wall plug literally disappears into the back of the case when not charging. The case protects very well and above all I found the necessity of fumbling with charging cords to be gone!

Worth buying, but very very clunky

This case does exactly what it claims to do, it allows you to charge your phone without using a cable and just plugging it into the wall. This is very helpful and when you get it you'll realize how much you needed it all along. However, the design is so clunky. It really becomes hard to fit in your pocket. The second con is since the case has some sort of speaker enhancer, so to listen to music there is a probably 1.5 inch long audio jack that plugs through the case into the audio jack hole, then you plug your headphones into that audio jack. This takes a huge knock off the sound quality of your headphones, plus it makes the phone even harder to fit in your pocket.

Easy to install in phone

Easy to install in phone; no wrestling, stretching, or bending at severe angles to get it on like other cases I've owned.

Plug lifts out and flips back down easily. Seems durable. Used it for 2 weeks now and still get a kick out of how convenient it is. And there is certainly the "cool" factor with friends / co-workers due to its novelty.

BUT: 1) as there is no way to charge the phone with a traditional, corded apple charger with the case on, this is kind of a pain when I've needed to: use my phone when the battery is low as I'd normally just plug it into a charger and use the cord from the wall to hold the phone to my ear. Now you have to either use speakerphone or make sure you have ear buds handy.
2) can't use my iphone car charger with the case on so if your phone is low when in the car, you have to take the case off, find a place to stash the 2 pieces, plug your phone in the car charger and then reassemble when you get out of the car.

Now, the case does come with an alternative and added port to charge using the same style charger as other phones and kindles. This would negate having to take the case off in the above scenarios but as I have my apple chargers already in possession and installed in my car, swapping these out is a bit of a nuisance.

Althogether, however, very happy to not have to think about carrying a charger around...just need an outlet and you're ready to roll!

Does not fit iPhone 5

This case does not fit an iPhone 5. I struggled trying to get my phone in it for like 15 minutes. My boyfriend came over and forced it in, but then the top piece (the case is in two pieces) wouldn't click in, because this thing was meant for a smaller phone. Maybe mislabeled and should be for an iPhone 4?

And yes, I am positive that I have an iPhone 5. This is crazy. I love the idea of it, but It does not work.

God product. Best for the left handed.

I read the reviews in advance before purchasing this product. I was aware that it was going to be slightly bulky. (It has to have a 120v-220v ac to 12v dc converter) but the position of the micro usb charger bothered me. It makes it difficult for a right handed person to hold his or her phone with one hand and text at the same time.
Fortunately it does just fine charging on a wall. Making it convenient to have for overnight sleepovers,trips, etc.
4stars for righties. 5 if your left handed.

Thought it would be like my black case which was of a superior quality it wasn't a broken short order and it also didn't have the grippy texture which made it slide in full I immediately abandon it I realized it was a waste of money
