FYI on the 4000 Lumen Nitecore TM26

I won't do an in depth review here because there are so many but all I can say is WOW !!! ... The 4000 Lumen TM26 has awesome light output in a relatively small package! Wife thought I was crazy to spend $$$ on this light but even she was impressed with it.

I will however add this FYI on the lanyard. I was a little befuddled by the installation of the lanyard. There is nothing in the instructions that tells you how to put it on the light. The hole is quite small and just poking it through will not work. So, looking through the packaging you will find a small zip lock baggie with an extra O-ring, charging port cover and a small piece of high tensile string. 1) Poke the string through the lanyard hole on the base of the light. 2) Loop it through the lanyard and back through the lanyard hole on the base. 3) Grab both ends of the string and pull the lanyard through the hole. 4) Bring the plastic cap on the end of the lanyard through the loop in the lanyard, pull it tight to snug it down. Enjoy your new Nitecore TM26...

Excellent flashlight .the light has true lumes.i believe they stick to there 4000 lumes.the light is very useful I use the light on a daily basis. I've used the light to work on a car and you can see everything. My brother in law got stuck in a ditch with his truck. I used my light to help him get out of the ditch.i take light camping and to the beach. The power went out at work so I used the light at work. I use the light at the house even when the power isn't out.i never over charge the light.i take the flashlight everywhere I go.everyone was amazed how powerful the light is at work. I knew the power would go out when it rained and snowed 2 days.

Extremely Bright, But Hot Flashlight

Outstanding! I have a cabin in the mountains and need a bright flashlight when I walk my dog at night so I can see and deter the critters around us. This one is well beyond my current, brightest LED flashlights. The only negative is that it gets hot quickly. I guess that should be expected, but after less than five minutes, I have to shift my grip to the very back of the light because it is uncomfortable to hold. I just ordered the handle mount kit, which should help with the heat issue. Overall, I am very satisfied with this flashlight.

I have a TK75 and the TM26

I keep my TK75 on my boat where distance is important. The TM26 will not keep up in that category.

The TM26 is on my night stand next to the bed. most of the time it is set to the 3 lumen setting a great feature is from standby (daily mode)

to 3 lumen is a half press of the button. A full press of the button brings 3800 lums. Care must be taken to get the half press but in a panic situation it is nice to have full brightness with just a press of the button and not have to find the other switch and press it 3 times. like the TK75

This one button convenience is also the negative, here's why. A quick half press and release leaves the light on at the last used level. Hold the button at half press to long then release and the light goes out when you release. To turn the light off is a full press of the button if you do a half press in stead of full you go up one level in brightness up to 1850 lumens at that point it would go back to level 1 3 lumens as turbo's 3800 lumens isn't available from this method. to get 3800 you would half press and hold for 1-2 seconds. then half press to get back to your original settings. In short I feel like I'm talking to the light in Morris code!

But the one feature that can't be beat is you can run it on CR123 non rechargeable batteries. I hunt and having the ability to stuff
8 CR123 batteries in and go is unbeatable. sure the 18650's are a better option but forget your charger and they are useless

With a 10 year shelf life the CR123's can't be beat.

About levels from 3 lumens to 150 is to big of a jump, I would be happier with 6-10 lumens instead of 3 but I'm sure others would say "where did my night light go?" I do use the 3 lumen setting but only because 150 is to much.

I have other lights but the ability to go from night light brightness to tactical in 1 second is hard to beat in short this is a solid 4 star light and maybe when I learn the Morris code switch better I'll upgrade to a 5th star. But for now the switch coding and the 3 to 150 lumen jump make it a 4

This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I absolutely love this thing.

You cannot imagine how much light this thing throws out. On full brightness, the spot is visible on a sunlight surface. Somehow the 4 beams magically turn into one single spot. I don't know it works, but it works perfectly. Shining it outside? You have to see it to believe it. I shined it on some trees hundreds of yards away when it was really dark and it looked like the sun came out. Battery life is great with 4 Nitecore rechargeables.

The design is beautiful and it fits really well in your hand. I bought it weeks ago and it's sitting on my desk 2 feet from me. I play with it all the time.

Some reviewers talk about how expensive it is. Personally, I'd rather spend more money and get exactly what I want than save a few bucks and get a piece of junk. If you're the kind of person who springs for the Herman Miller chair for the home office, this is the flashlight for you.

One very small criticism. The wrist lanyard makes a slight bump under the bottom of my right hand when I hold it. Not a big deal, but I'd rather it was on the other side. Of course, if you're left handed or choose to hold it lefty, then it is perfect
