Product Description

Gummi Bears are an iconic gelatin candy that kids and adults love all over the world! Bring your favorite candy to life with this Gummi Bear Anatomy 41-Piece puzzle toy! Designed by artist and designer Jason Freeney, this Gummi Bear has its own disproportional skeleton and organs. Learn all about the anatomy of those delicious fruit-flavored candies! The Bear features a sturdy clear plastic case that serves as the "skin" or outer shell that holds the skeleton and organs in place. The skull-cap can be removed to expose the brain. The brain can be removed and splits apart into two pieces. All of the organs detach from each other. These organs are solid and durable. They include: the lungs, intestines, stomach, liver, spinal cord, heart, and esophagus. The skeleton also comes apart into many pieces. The bones are made of a durable, slightly flexible plastic. An instruction sheet is included to help guide you in the assembling process. Completed model measures 8.25 inches tall x 4.5 inches wide x 4 inches thick. This funny anatomy plastic model is a great quirky gift for any friend! It is easily assembled and has a highly detailed finish. For ages 8 and up.

Some pieces don't fit

Engineer here. Brain looks like it warped out of the mold. No possible way for the 2 hemispheres to snap together. It's not even close. Everything else worked fine. Keeps the skull from closing properly. They really need quality control.

It was a head scratcher trying to get the insides just right but I think we got it. Box included some very vague instructions and the parts aren't very cooperative but it looks amazing when put together.

Most Adorable Fleshless Skeleton Ever

Super fun! Not a hard puzzle. It includes detailed directions.

The best part is this little creepshow watching me at night. When the light is just right there is this reflection from the eyes.

Some people think its weird. More like adorkable!

Bone-in Gummy Bears
by Matthew V. Tran (5 out of 5 stars)

Why must I always buy unnecessary cute stuff like this? Since I'm constantly around the medical profession, I'm naturally intrigued by anatomical figures. Never thought I'd see something like this but after watching the video about these guys (and yes, you must watch the video on vat19.com to truely appreciate how these gummy bears are "harvested") I knew I had to buy one. Let's just get this out of the way, I LOVE toys, especially ones where you can build things. Came with all necessary bones and guts to construct your "anatomically correct" gummy bear. It didn't take too long to build (your mileage may vary) but I almost felt sad that the building process was over since it was so fun. The material may seem brittle but are actually pretty strong seeing as how I sat on the bag and screamed bloody murder only to recover intact and unbroken parts. I must say, at the end of assembling the whole thing, it sure looks great next to your taxidermied fanged squirrel owl thing and framed picture of Obi-Wan Kenobi. 5 stars, enough said.

Cute, but too difficult for kids....or adults.

So here's me thinking oh this is cute and weird for spooky kids like mine...but there's one big problem....it's hard as hell to put together!! The instructions are useless. And each piece is attached with a specially weird tiny L-shaped to only go in the body part it belongs in...and one had to be carved out a bit so it would go in. It seems pointless to do this shape coding....simple pegs would be fine. Basically, I ended up gluing on the scapula's so it didn't fall apart from the pressure of my hands when I placed it in the case.

It took me an hour of my Christmas trying to assemble this guy then I knew it was a one time deal. Cute on a shelf but only if you dig being frustrated.

I absolutely love it! Although the shoulder keeps popping out of place. The pieces seem to fit and it was a great anatomy challenge. I would definitely recommend this item to any anatomy student.....

Most pieces don't fit & those that do come apart

Box contains a jumble of pieces that are supposed to click together but rarely fit into place. For those times they did fit together, it was only a matter of time before they popped loose. Quite disappointed.

I would recommend the gummy bear if you have the patience to ...

I got my gummy bear skeleton/anatomy today. It shipped quickly and had no damage to the shell at all. I gave it 4 stars due to how hard it is to start to put together. The pieces do not want to stay in place. The lungs I think, are the hardest to attach along with the piece that attaches to the skull once the organs are put together. The skull and brain were the easiest parts for me to put together. I think, since I am not going to take it apart again I am going to glue it together. This will be a display only piece. I would recommend the gummy bear if you have the patience to put it together and keep the pieces in place.

Neat concept, but contains incorrect parts
by andrew iverson (2 out of 5 stars)

This bear is an awesome to look at and a great conversation piece when completed, but that's if you can complete it. First off, it is NOT easy to put together, many of the parts don't fit together without considerable stress placed on the tiny fittings. Also, it seems that they bears come with two right hands and no left hand. I discovered this flaw after returning the first one I ordered and discovering the second had the same problem, so odds are unless you glue it on, your bear will be missing a left hand.
