This thing is amazing

I bought this to take on vacation so when we were sitting at the beach or by the pool the GF and I could jam out to some sick tunes. This thing was amazing. Got splashed, still worked. The best part that they dont tell you about is that is has these little suction cuppy things on the back of it. I suction cupped it to the wall when I was taking a shower so I could listen to music too. This went from a vacation purchase to a life purchase. It gets super loud. I bring it outside in the garage with me to jam out when I'm working on the car and what not. The value of this thing has easily surpassed what I've payed for it.

I've bought a couple bluetooth speakers under $75 and they are garbage. This thing is the best. I may even buy the big brother version for the garage.

Good outdoor speaker

Ok, read many of the 200+ reviews and there are some things this speaker is and some things it ain't. It will not replace a home stereo system, it's not better than sliced bread, and it won't cure cancer. It will however play music wirelessly. I have a beatspill and needed something more weatherproof to use around our backyard pool and the pill is not versatile to place anywhere due to the round design it rolls easily if not on a very flat surface. This guy is very flat and sits easily on any surface. The feet on the bottom are not suction cups like another reviewer stated as I tried this and it fell, but it would be cool if they were. The volume is fine for my backyard space, but does not get as loud as my beats pill. I put a 3M hook on the siding on the back of my house and hang it so the sound is projected out across the pool and works good. And for some reason I cannot get it to connect to my S4 no matter what which finds every other Bluetooth speaker I've ever tried. Super inconvenient since now I am forced to use my iPad for music and nothing else if I want music. Plus I won't bring my iPad outside so I have to go inside to skip songs. Overall I am pleased and would buy again. Worth noting this is more rugged and half the cost of a beats pill. And small enough to fit in your palm.

Drop-proof, Dust-proof, Water-resistant Boom Box

Could not love this product more. I work at a waterpark and I often come in early to check the slides, etc. I always wanted to have music with me but I couldn't have something too loud and if was on my person it had to be water resistant. The Turtle Shell is perfect. Now I can clip it onto a make-shift belt and if it gets sprayed with water while I'm on the aquatic floor I don't need to worry about my device. Super bonus: I pair this to my phone which is in a waterproof case, meaning I don't have to worry too much at all about the environment I'm in.

Outside of that very specific use, I love the Turtle Shell at home too. It can easily fill a couple of rooms full of music or be just loud enough to listen to some music before bed. I wouldn't call myself an audiophile but I am quite picky about my tunes and this guy delivers. The only time I've had it not be able to keep up was when it was on full volume and a very low bass part came on in a song. Couldn't quite take the low Hz on that noise level. This is a rare problem and doesn't effect my listening at all.

Maybe a little pricey but where else are you going to find a drop-proof, dust-proof, water-resistant boom box that can fit in your hand?

If you are looking for a great Bluetooth speaker just choose this one it is the most portable can be dropped from 7 feet and be completely fine amazing bass nothing wrong with it at all and is completely water proof just don't submerge it because it might get in the charger ports but rain stands no chance but you might want to wipe off the speaker once in a while in the rain because some times the water will cover the little holes and muffle the noise

Rad Speaker

I've had the Turtle Shell 2.0 for around a month now and have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

Comes in a cool drawstring pouch that will fit the speaker as well as its charger and aux cord with plenty of room to spare. The sound quality is truly amazing, and the 360 degree projection is no joke- you can hear it clearly from any perspective. If you're at all hesitant about it being waterproof, don't be. I use it in the shower and rain regularly. The 16 hour battery life actually seems like conservative estimate- I've accidentally left it playing all night/all day and had it keep going strong for the next few days after still. It also charges from 0-100% in less than an hour which is absolutely awesome. It stays connected at over 30 feet ever with multiple walls in the way. With all its features, and no glitches, the Turtle Shell 2.0 is a total steal for anything less than 150$. Plus it comes with stickers. Who doesn't love a good sticker.

Both the unique shape, as well as all the color options it comes are sure to help you stand out. Everyone who sees it cant help but say they love it. Do yourself a favor and buy yourself one of these guys, and go check out the rest of Outdoor Tech's awesome stuff.

Very Nice For The Price Range

Operation couldn't be simpler, if you've owned such a device before. The sound is very good, certainly not studio quality, but you're not going to get that out of a portable Bluetooth speaker -- not at this price range anyway. It could use a little more bass response for my taste, but it stands head and shoulders over the internal speaker on my iPhone, and that's exactly what I wanted.

I haven't tested the battery life, so I can't speak to its longevity, but it sure seems to have some legs.

Pretty durable, too! I'm not going to go stress testing it, but it's built very solidly, and it's not going to fall apart if it gets dinged a bit.

I bought this speaker for it's rugged design, water resistance, sound quality and light carry weight for backpacking. This speaker has exceeded ALL expectations. The sound is frickin LOUD, fills a room as well as projects in all directions outside. The sound is incredibly rich for the size, and doesn't crack or pop when turned all the way up. The rubber feet keep it secure on smooth surfaces, and the shape is great for fitting in a pack that is already cramped for space. No reason to leave this behind! I want to buy more for my family and friends!

This is a great speaker and I use the heck out of it. The sound is very good for what it is and everyone that sees it is amazed by how small it is and what it puts out. I wish they had a hook designed for hanging it though. I would purchase again.

Big Sound for a Little Speaker

The sound put out from this little speaker is amazing. It has a full sound with good bass. You can control the volume on your phone and on the speaker itself. This allows for a great range from soft to super loud. It's very portable with a good range on the Bluetooth signal. I've been impressed with it's battery life and haven't had to charge it much. Compared to my iPhone 4, it's approximately the same length, a little wider, and as tall as 3 iPhone stacked on one another. It's small and light enough that I carry it around in my purse. A great purchase!

Loud and Long Lasting

I use this every day in a factory and not only is it loud enough for me to hear over machinery and earplugs, the battery lasts through the entire ten hour shift. At the end of the night I simply flip it over and knock off the water, metal shavings, and other accumulated crud.

On the con side: it occasionally loses connection, but I can't tell whether it's the fault of the speaker, my phone, or the interference in the area. Also, the buttons need work. The volume/advance combination works but should be improved upon.

Altogether I say that this is the best bluetooth speaker I've used.
