This thing is awesome -- just gave one as a housewarming gift -- best gift EVER!! I could not tell what it was supposed to be from the photo on Amazon -- it looks like a real sphere, doesn't it? It's basically a way cool, super awesome, cutting board/trivet/hot plate -- or whatever else you want to use it for -- in the shape of a circle and totally looks like the Death Star (it looks like a sphere when you're holding it up -- it's THAT realistic looking). The only thing about it that is NOT like a cutting board, is that it has a smooth surface, not grooved/textured like a cutting board. It is a piece of round glass, with a Death Star sticker under the glass (not really a sticker, but you know how decorative glass cutting boards are made that way?) and some grippy feet underneath it to prevent it from lying flat on a tabletop. It's much larger than a standard trivet. You could theoretically mount it on a wall using a plate holder or display it using a display easel. The possibilities are endless. One thing that will happen -- you will be the envy of all your Star Wars loving friends!

I use this for my bar (see pic) so I can't say how well it works as a cutting board. It definitely doesn't slip, as it says. The picture of the Death Star is awesome, though. Very clear and well defined. It's not blurry or out of focus anywhere and there is no pixelation at all. Great looking product for any Star Wars fan.

I bought this for my star wars loving boyfriend as a gift. He loved it! Hes a chef and he said "this is not a cutting board." He uses it as a serving dish and he displays it on the table when he isn't using it. So even though it wasn't what it says it is, my boyfriend did not care. This was a great buy.

One of my favorite items in the kitchen. But There is a slight wrinkle in the picture under the glass. Im not sure if it came like that and I just missed it or it developed after I washed it the first time. Im also not sure if it should be hand washed or if it's dishwasher safe. I didn't see any info in the box. So just to be safe I recommend hand hashing it. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for that.

I bought this cutting board a few months ago and I do like it. It's beautiful. It looks incredible I'm just not a fan of glass cutting boards. I feel paranoid when I use it because it makes such a horrible noise when the blade hits the glass. It is lovely to display any food on, though.

If you're a fan you want this. You can use this as a cutting board or serving tray or just hang it on the wall. It looks great, what ever you use it for. Great quality graphics and sturdy glass make this a winner. I use it as my cheese tray when we have wine and cheese. Guests love it. When not in use it's on the wall guarding the kitchen. I bought one for my son he hung it in his room.

I love this! It's a cutting board, a trivet, a place to put my wet spoon after stirring the soup, and lots of other things. It is attractive and well made. Buy it for your Star Wars fans! I've even used it to carry hot dishes from the kitchen to the table. Washes EASILY.

Looks even better in real life and a good value for a star wars product. Durable and useful for cutting as well as a large trivet. Heck, it even just looks cool out on the counter. I purchased this for my son-in-law as an XMas gift and really had to convince myself not to keep once I took it out of the box. He loved it!

Came in very nice packaging as it is made of glass this was a big concern of mine. Very sturdy and thick. Made a very cool gift for my uncle who is hard to shop for.

Got this for my husband for Christmas who is a big Star Wars fan, he loved it. It is as pictured... circle in shape with little rubber pads on the bottom. Hasn't been used much mainly a decoration on the kitchen counter to place a hot pan etc on so far.

Would recommend for any Star Wars fan =)
