Such a disappointment

I purchased this globe for my apartment while ago. It was easy enough to assemble and the first few countries I scratched off worked fine. However, I recently took several trips and was going to update my globe. That's when I realized what everyone in the reviews was talking about. I began with my fingernails as I did the first time, and nothing happened. I then tried coins, pins, etc and all it did was wear down the paper until it tore, never showing any hint of color. I am so disappointed in this product. I wanted something more compact than the maps you can get for your wall, and thought this would be perfect. I would not buy this again.

Easy to put together, but almost impossible to scratch the countries off without tearing through the paper. We tried a knife, coin, and other sharp things but it's too tough.

I ordered 4 globes to scratch off with some friends as a fun activity over a visit. One of the globes came with a missing surface insert and two Alaska pieces. The others were fine.

The globe looks nice assembled, but if you have done most of your traveling in Europe, scratching off Europe on the globe is difficult. Everything is very tiny, of course. So better to get a larger map of Europe to scratch off, I think.

Me encantó, estaba buscando hace pila uno así, para poder marcar los viajes en una pieza que quede como adorno y a la vez de manera lúdica hacerlo con los niños. A favor, llegó perfecto, la caja perfecta y cerrada, es igual a la foto. En contra, al sacar la pintura con moneda o lo que sea queda manchado, o sea no sale de manera prolija...

Travela and Scratch

I saw this product on my flipboard magazine, it was retailing for 49.99. I googled the product and found it on amazon for much less. This was order for my nephew that traveled to Thailand and is planning on seeing the world. You can scratch off where you have been revealing the color of the country and you can watch your progress as you go.
