They were alive but missing limbs due to starvation in the packaging
by Amazon Customer (4 out of 5 stars)

In the package, the roaches had plenty of room to crawl. But they didn't have any food or water. Which resulted in the male eating 4 of the females feet and part of her legs. They could've put a wet paper towel in the box to keep them hydrated. After taking them out and giving them food, the female would not stop eating for 4 hours. She was starving!

Eek a bug!

My new hissers arrived a day early, in fine shape, they've been eating tangerine and bananas right out of the shipping container. These are adults, not tiny nymphs, each almost 3 inches long and very pretty coloring. I handled both and they never hissed at me. Now they're resting in a nice coir bed, very tired from their adventure! These are great pets for a kid, so mellow and they don't have hard pokey legs, it's like a feather tickling when they walk on your arm. I'm hooked! My grandkids will love them too!

Super fun for my 5 year old!

Love these. My son is thrilled. They live with the zebra pill bugs quite peacefully 🙂 The terrarium was easy to create. I got chia seeds (grow super quickly and easily) to provide some of the food for the critters. Other than that they only need a bit of dog food. So fun and not expensive to do!

They were in kinda rough shape.

I was happy they arrived alive because it's been cold. They are a good size. I was disappointed with how sad they looked. The females antennas are almost completely gone and the male is missing some as well. A few feet are missing on both of them. The male seems pretty active but the female is very sluggish and barely moves. I'm hoping there's nothing wrong with her.

Cute little guys

Got two of these guys from this seller. They both arrived alive and well. The larger guy had one of his antennas clipped half off but I assume that's from the USPS because the package wasn't marked fragile or from them fighting (2 males). These males do great together and have not been seen fighting. One is larger and dark and one is smaller but a bit wider with beautiful brown. My daughter absolutely loves these little guys. They have done great and hissed on the first day I'm sure to being discontent during their travel. One does not hiss at all anymore and the larger one has his days but will only do it a few times. I think with time he will get use to being petted and not hiss. There guys are held and petted daily. They are given veggies and fruit but sure do love dog food for protein! I would buy from this seller again as communication was great and the little guys arrived in good condition. I originally asked about two females and the seller was very honest and advised that the females would be okay together but would more than likely arrive pregnant which is what I wanted to avoid our first go around. That was appreciated! My daughter was happy with her birthday present!

I got these as a prank for my sister from across the country. They scared the pants off of her and then made the rounds through her kids' classes for the students to see and landed with the HS science teacher. Pretty cool bugs!

Got them alive. Seller called me to let me know his concern with the heat in Arizona. Thought that was cool. I had them shipped to my work so they wouldn't suit in the mailbox and it all paid off. The boys love the roaches. Thanks!
