This hanging vinyl 6-1/2" x 10" (16.5 cm x 25.4 cm) squirrel feeder makes it appear as if any squirrel that eats from it is wearing a Horse Mask. So for years I have had an issue of not having a horse head that could feed squirrels. I would wake up in the middle of the night screaming in a cold sweat because the neighborhood squirrels did not have an appropriate feeder. As one could guess, my wife was not so happy about this, since I would often wake her up with my nightime pleas for the squirrels.

I would comb through the latest copies of squirrel weekly looking for a solution. I just could not believe that someone had not seen this hugely underserved market. Wasn't anyone concerned about how squirrels were going to get food? Those fat cheeks are not going to stuff themselves.

Then, one day, out of the blue this horse head feed exploded into my life. At first I couldn't believe it, was this the answer to all of my squirrel questions? I immediately purchased 32 of them to hang all around my yard. My goal, a squirrel disco party. What would be better than that? Nothing, I say.

This thing is amazing. It holds seeds, and peanut butter, and other fun things. I once saw two squirrels in it at the same time. Wow, was that amazing! Two squirrels sharing one horse head, a super species for sure!

The neighbors love all of the squirrels I brought to our yards.

Good price and very funny! Recommendations: use peanut butter, make sure it's closer to 9 inches off the ground and try and use a wire type hanging apparatus. They will be able to chew through string or rope.

This works as advertised - the squirrels love it, I love it and all my facebook friends love it, who could ask for more? I've been experimenting with what to put in it. Currently i'm trying sunflower seeds mixed with peanut butter to help hold the sides in the head and slow down the squirrels a bit (greedy little buggers eat like the end of the world is coming. Hysterical. Joe Bob says check it out.

The description for this squirrel feeder left out one point. It does not come with the cord you hang it from. The hole is so small a heavy duty shoe lace won't fit through it....hunting for a cord now that will work.

It's pretty fun to watch the squirrels figure this thing out. It gets a high rating for creativity and entertainment. There are only a couple of downsides. First, it doesn't hold a lot of food, so it's empty frequently. Also, there should be a better way to hang it. There's just a small hole punched in the top to run string through. It's not stable in any way, so mostly the squirrels just knock it around to shake the food out. Then it gets to spinning in circles, and the squirrels have a hard time stabilizing it again. I purchased the feeder when it was marked down to $12, so I'd say it's still a win - even though the squirrels still eat my bird food too.

Well unfortunately the only thing it's good for is to feed the squirrels. And by that I mean the squirrels ate the head the face the ears everything it's just a hanging piece of plastic junk. Never did I see one squirrel inside of it like the cool video. Just being destroyed by squirrels eating it.

I gave this to my Dad as a gift, along with the peanuts and corn and the shepard's hook to hang it on. It was the funniest gift of the day! Everyone thought it was a hoot!

Wouldn't advise that you add peanut butter inside it as the instructions suggest. If you make it difficult for the squirrels to get to the food, theyll find another way. In my case, they chewed a giant hole thru the horse head. Do not follow those instructions u less you want your squirrel feeder ruined.

FYI-squirrels do NOT find it as funny as I did. They ate the top of the head off within a few days of hanging it. LOL

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for our 88 year old grandpa. We thought what do you get a 88 year who has everything, well you get him a horse head squirrel feeder. Like most of you we watched the YouTube videos and lol'd. We thought this would be great for him to watch in his yard and guess what, WE WERE RIGHT! The feeder is easy enough to load and provides him with countless hours of entertainment.
