I used my imagination with this one. I mounted it on a nice wood plaque and suspended a model of the Voyager space craft above it. Now THAT looks cool! For those interested, the planets are all on the floor of this orb. In other words, if you look at it from any side, you look through clear glass. But looking down on it you see the planets on a stary black background. Look from about a 45 degree angke and you still see the planets and syars but the glass magnifies the fartherest planets. Trust me, it looks good and you'll like it. Neptune is near the edge and a dark blue color. Uranus is there too. A blue green color. The weight alloows my model to hover safely above it. That was a good idea!

I love this paperweight! It is such a great mini replica of the solar system. It is beautiful and has a nice heavy weight.
I didn't have any of the issues as the other reviewers - all of the planets are included with no paint issues, there are no cracks, etc. The gift box it came in was also high quality. It is definitely a nice gift for someone who likes astronomy.
True to description, great product

This is a fun little paperweight that is worth it's money. It is heavy enough to serve its purpose. The dial on the one I bought (as a Christmas present for someone) is a little stiff or sticky, so it takes some effort to rotate it. But, that only needs to be done once a month, so it's not a big issue. Just don't be scared to force it. All the dates are accurate.

It's cool. The only issue is that if you pick up the calendar and move it, the little sliding part that selects the date tends to move on its own so you have to line it up again. However, it is easy to move which I prefer to something more difficult to move that would stay in place.

This item is actually really cool. It has all eight planets, but it's just that one of them is really dark. That's why people say it only has seven planets and that it wasn't well made, which it actually is well made.

Looks great. It spins on top a little easier than I would like for it to. But overall I really like it and would order it again.

I LOVE this paperweight. Just ordered a second one---- one for work, one for home. I love staring into this paperweight rather than working.

I was not happy with the quality of this product. When I took it out of the box it looks like it has been used as there are scuff marks and dings in the metal all the way around. My initial intent was to purchase some as a conference giveaway for my team.
Awful because it's so cheaply made - don't buy

All the people that I gifted this to loved it.
Its an innovative design just don't like the blank spaces on the sides , but i imagine you could put some sticker with a logo on that.
They should have a facility to engrave some lettering in those spaces

wow the pictures look amazing, the product not so much. The dial is so lose & poorly constructed.
Great concept but you get what you pay for

Bought it for a Christmas gift. The concept is neat and also that it's a paperweight but the date changer on top seems cheap. You get what you pay for.
