The force is strong with this one.
by Vi L (4 out of 5 stars)

Storm Troopers love music as much as we do, but instead of the boring looking headphones, they get their own flashy, fancy looking First Edition Storm Trooper Star Wars On-ear headphone from SMS Audio STREET by 50. This is a pair of on-ear headphone, which Storm Troopers would have to take their helmets off to enjoy.. or do they? With strong will and force, I mind-controlled a trooper to send me one.

The unboxing experience was super exciting. The box flipped open and welcomed you to whole new world the Star Wars universe. SMS has done a phenomenon job in product packaging and presentation that it had my inner 10-year-old humming the Imperial March soundtrack.

The package included:
- Storm Trooper First Edition on-ear headphone
- Star Wars embossed carry case
- Star Wars branded removable cable with 3-click mic
- Star Wars branded soft touch cleaning cloth
- First edition Star Wars poster (Sized 12" x 18")
- 1 Sheet of first edition Star Wars stickers
- Star Wars branded owner's manual
- Certificate of authenticity
- Gears and helmet are NOT included :(

Putting the headphone on will make you become part of Trooper family, no helmet necessary. The headphone itself is made of mainly hard, but flexible plastic with rubbery feel to it. There's a reasonable padding on top of head band to help headphone sits comfortably on your head. You'll find the hidden metal part by the folding hinges along with a satisfying "click" when folding and unfolding the earcups. Earcups are padded with memory foam cushion, making them very comfortable to sit on your ears. Finally, the Storm Trooper helmet extruded out from the back of each earcup. Hey, where's my trooper helmet?

Headphone sit comfortably on ears. After an extended period of use, even with soft earcups pads, you can feel the pressure built up on your ears. Maybe not as much pressure as your training with the Empire, but enough to make you want to take it off. While it is flexible, head band didn't extend easily and ended up putting pressure on your ears. The force is strong with this one..literally. If you have a smaller head, it might not be an issue, but if you have a full size adult head (or a trooper helmet), it can get uncomfortable after extended period of wear. With the detachable 3.5mm cable, you can just wear it as a fashion accessory.

Time to turn up the music! DUN DUN DUN, DUN DUN-DUN, DUN DUN-DUN! The customized 44mm drivers delivered an exceptional sound quality with immersive sound stage. Very impressive dynamic bass performance, but overall audio quality sounded a bit muddy. After a few tweaks with the equalizer, I was able to customized to my ideal preference. Okay, maybe it's not worth the full MSRP of $199.99, but the current price of $69.99 sounds like great value. In my opinion, this headphone sounds better than Beats. Agree or get shot.

With the current price markdown, I can say the First Edition Star Wars on-ear headphone from SMS is one of the best sounding headphones in the $70 range. Not only the headphone, you will also get a full bundle of joy. Buy it or get shot.

I LOVE THESE HEADPHONES!!!

OMG these are awesome. I challenge you to find a better sounding more solid and nice pair of headphones for what Amazon has them for at the moment ($36?!). I bought these for my son as a replacement for some cheap Batman ones not knowing how good these were. The packaging is awesome. They come with a case and a removable cord and a poster. My son re-packages them every time after he listens because he loves it all so much. They fold up very nicely which is cool...but the sound....Wow these are really good! I have a pair of Bose Noise Cancelling headphones which admittedly are over-priced but the sound quality is...not THAT much different. If I had spent $100 for these, I would have thought that was about right. These are NOT noice-cancelling by the way. I LOVE these headphones and might just have to get a Boba Fett pair for myself even though I have not need for them!

I'm a big deal in the resistance.

Yes, I bought them because they are Star Wars. I've had them for about two weeks (they arrived on May the Fourth! ;-). I've received many compliments on them.

I am not an expert in sound systems or headphone audio in ANY way, I am just a lover of music and a gamer.

I've been buying earbuds over and over and over for too long - they die too fast and if not just perfectly sized - they hurt me!

I decided I needed to try the over the ear option. I wear my headphones for a couple hours a day while commuting - and sometimes a couple more for video games. I was concerned about comfort, since I have had some that hurt even with minimal use.

The padding on these is super soft & squishy and it took like 4 hours before they started to annoy me - and then I just adjusted where they were sitting and they were fine. Love all the packaging and the nifty carrying case (which, when wearing the headphones, is handy for carrying something that might otherwise get crushed in my bag) They cancel out the noise around me well, but not entirely.

I would not have paid the list price for them - but the amazon pricing made it worth it to me, and I did get the 3 year replacement plan. All told it's aboot $30 a year - and I've certainly been throwing more than that away on "disposable" earbuds. I love them so far. Will update if anything changes or about durability.

FYI - the picture shows them looking chrome-ish and metallic.

They are not - the silver parts are all flat grey in person, which I was actually happy about.

These headphones rock!!!!!

So I bought these headphones as a gift for my boyfriend. When they arrived... I was like, "DAUM! These headphones are tight!" The packing is great, they are Star Wars but like stylish about it... low key... very post modern and clean lines which I totally appreciate. That carrying case is awesome. Light Grey against Orange makes it pop! One draw back was they are not bluetooth headphones... yeah right, like that will stop me from buying them. I also bought a longer cord to connect them to my phone. I hope future lines take this into account and do bluetooth head phones. So Christmas comes and wouldn't you know I find myself without a boyfriend but a new pair sweet Star War Rebellion Head Phones!

Great for music, not for phone calls.

The sound quality is great. I can't use earbuds, so I always look for over-the-ear headphones with decent features. The phone controls work, though using them for a call is not ideal. Person on the other end said they couldn't really hear me.

I like that the phone controls will pause the music (even when not taking an incoming call) but wish they would allow for volume control, and maybe track controls (skip/rewind).

Big Head Blues

This headphone, overall, is pretty dang neat, especially when I'm representing the glorious Galactic Empire. I'm not an expert when it comes to sound quality with headphones, but by my rating: it's 5 out 5. The only thing I would have worried about purchasing this beforehand would be that the muffs REALLY crushes my ears if I leave them on for too long. Then again, my head can't fit into XXL snapback, so if you can do that: go for the purchase.

I owned them for approx 5 months and they SNAPPED!
by Utahrded (1 out of 5 stars)

I owned them for approx 5 months and they SNAPPED! While sitting at my desk job, went to place them on my head to listen to music and they snapped. Above the right earphone, just below the foam head pad. Sucks! I previously owned the 50 Cent headphones, and they lasted about 3 years before going out. These didn't make it a half year. Aside from the obvious, they sounded great (while working). Buyer beware.

Amazing sound! After a while of using these (1 ...

Amazing sound! After a while of using these (1 hour or so) my ears get slightly irritated at the pressure and I have to take them off for a while but aside from that, extremely amazing headphones. I bought these while on sale for $100, best purchase I made on headphones I will tell you that. The picture doesnt define as well as it looks, I suggest youtube reviews before purchasing, and a side note, the logo on the sides pop out a little more than it looks on the picture, not an issue but just saying. Watch reviews first.

In love with them!

WOW! I have bose that I use all the time and I used to have a pair of beats, these blow them away. The bass is not overwhelming like in the beats, and sounds deeper than the bose. If I throw these into my headphone amp it really really lets them show off. I would highly recommend these to anyone. Very impressed by these. Oh and I am also a huge star wars nerd so yeah that makes them even better! The branding everywhere is so cool, lots of fun extra goodies and amazing sound. You cant get any better than these.

These are great headphones! The sound is pretty great
by Amazon Customer (4 out of 5 stars)
February 18, 2017

These are great headphones! The sound is pretty great, it has just the right amount of base coming from them. A couple of downsides are the fact that they are not noise canceling and that they don't go over the ear, they sit right on top. Making it extremely difficult to listen to them for a long period of time. The longest I can use these headphones are two hours until my ears start to hurt. The design is pretty cool, though. I'm still glad I bought them.
