Product Description

The Super Precision Gyroscope has been designed and built to the highest precision from the very start, made from solid brass with a light-weight aluminium frame. Carefully chosen stainless-steel miniature ball bearings allow it to run smoothly and almost silently. The gyroscope operates up to 12,000 revolutions per minute using the provided electric motor and battery pack. The motor can be fastened to the gyroscope with two screws providing hours of use or it can be used briefly to start it and detach. The gyroscope comes with a number of attachments allowing numerous configurations to perform scientific, educational or simply mesmerising experiments.

The gyroscope comes with 2 x 50 mm long stainless steel extension rods, 2 x ball ends, 1 x slotted end. The rods when screwed together will extend 100mm, they can be screwed in other positions to create gimbals etc. 7 places on the frame of gyroscope that the attachments can be screwed into. Electric motor and battery pack. Batteries are not included. Does not include the gimbal add-on kit.

It is a pleasure working with precise tools. This gyroscope comes with a set of attachments that demonstrate the various properties of gyros with plenty of notes how to get it right and not break anything. Often adjectives like precise etc are basically advertisements. Here it characterizes the object. Other gyros from Amazon are much cheaper - but also sloppy in manufacture and poor in performance.

The manual claims that the gyro takes about 25 minutes to completely spin down. This I can verify. If I had a nit it would be that they should include the gimbal set with it.

Worked as stated just didn't hold its spin very long. Feel as if for the price this should actually spin for 10 mins as stated. Very well made doesn't feel cheep but packing was cheaper than others seen on other sites.

5 Stars: I liked everything about this gyroscope - it is exactly what I have been looking for - a high precision, high RPM, gyroscope with spindle attached via ball bearings and computer balanced after manufacture , The packaging was [may I say it?] masterfully done. The packaging told me that someone really valued what was inside. I tested the spin time - and came to 25 minutes ... I believe if I had handled the test a little differently it would have lasted longer. I congratulate the team that designed and manufactured this excellent product.

Bought from the gyroscope website quite a few years ago and there is no other like it. Highest quality and definitely the longest spinning gyroscope I could find anywhere. Well worth the price! Perfect for a learning environment or just for fun there is no other gyroscope that lets you do as much as this one.
