My daughter had watched the fund raising effort to get this hammock to production and wanted it. We bought it for her birthday this past May and she has used it several times. She says it's easy to set up and loves it.

Love this pack! The hammock quality is top notch and the bag is very well made.

Perfect for a day hike or a single overnight. I used mine for a 3 day hike in Hawaii and it was great! If I needed more than shorts and tee shirts, it would have been too small, but for warm weather summer hiking (with meal planning that avoids the need to bring a stove), it's fine for 2 overnights.

In v2.0, I 'd like to see a hammock with an integrated bug net and rainfly (as an option), and I'd like the backpack to be the size of a small internal frame pack, or (at a minimum) the size of a Bugout Gear/Blackhawk/5.11 tactical backpack.

I was part of the Kickstarter, and totally love my HackedPack! The backpack is 20L I believe, and is pretty comfortable. The hammock is full sized, and easy to setup. I don't believe this pack comes with a set of tree straps, but if you plan on hammocking you should get some. Ropes are too hard on trees, and end up damaging the bark. If you are new to hammocking head over to reddit for some good info and links to great resources for beginners! All in all, it's a good product and I'm looking forward to many years of use!

Edit: Apparently this does come with a set of tree straps. Happy Hammocking!

I live in the Bay Area in California and always go on hikes in the surrounding hills. The HackedPack is a wonderful way to carry all my gear and, when I want to take a break during the hike, to relax in a quality-made hammock. It's a great idea and a must-have for every outdoor enthusiast! I'm excited about taking it on a trip to Tahoe later this summer.

5 Stars!!!

First, this was sent to me in two days. Wow! Great service. Then, the quality of the pack was fantastic. A very generous day pack with a lot of features. It is able to hold anything you might need for a long hike. If going extremely light... you could use it for an overnight backpack. The hammock was as good as any of the better know hammock maker providers for less money. You cannot go wrong with this item. I look forward to seeing what they come out with next. This was there first foray into this business and I think it is a home run. Congratulations HackedPack people.

This is a sturdy, well-designed product and I've enjoyed my HackedPack hammock thoroughly throughout the summer.
