The Lodge 12-inch Seasoned Steel Grill Pan expands the grill master's menu. The grid design allows for the perfect amount of smoke and sear, without losing your veggies or shrimp. The pan is the right tool for grilling in the backyard or the backwoods. And like our cast iron cookware, these pans are seasoned with our proprietary vegetable oil formula, providing an easy release oil finish that improves with use. The heavy 12 gauge carbon steel maintains very low and very high temperatures, making the pan a highly effective and versatile cooking piece. After cooking, clean with a stiff nylon brush and hot water. Using soap is not recommended, and harsh detergents should never be used. Towel dry immediately and apply a light coating of oil to utensil while it is still warm. Made in USA.

My son got one of these. Had to get me one. He got his because he had to share a grill with his entire apartment complex, this way he doesn't have to clean the grill before or after. Works great--food doesn't fall in the fire, cooks evenly, no different taste. Don't have to worry about grill sheets that melt or give off chemicals. Easy clean up: let cool, wash with soap and water, rub on oil (use a paper towel with a little oil on it, wipe off any excess.) It does get very hot in the grill, (duh!) So handle with HEAVY duty mitts if you have to touch it.

Great! I have many Lodge cast iron pans and threw out all of my non-stick pans. Also have several carbon steel pans which are just as non-stick as cast iron if seasoned properly. I did consider stainless steel but most reviews complained that they were hard to clean. This one cleans pretty easily. I've only used this grilling pan for asparagus so far but they came out great. Holes are large enough to get a real nice char. Used to just throw the asparagus right on the grill grates but some would always fall through it was somewhat difficult to turn. All problems solved.

This griddle has more applications then what is intended. you can take this thing I'll put her directly on top of a campfire coals and there's your grill.

We used this once on a charcoal grill (pork chops) and have found that it is impossible to clean. We even soaked it overnight. We are very experienced with other carbon steel products. This is a huge disappointment and we missed the window to return it by only two days.

These are the best grilling pans I've ever owned. They sear food beautifully and cleanup is a breeze - especially when you use the stainless steel mesh cleaning mats. I bought two pans and with their heavy-duty construction, I expect to get many years of grilling out of them.
