I bought 10 of these. I love them and they gave me back my sanity. My mother was driving me crazy every day for more and more cigarettes. She promised me no more than a pack a day, so that was the deal. I put one pack in each of 10 boxes and set them on the timer to open one 24hrs after the other for a period of 10 days. That was 10 packs and I told my mom that was all she gets was one pack a day and she could not hound me, call me or drive me crazy for cigarettes any more. Every 10 days I filled them back up. It actually gave us quality time together not fighting about her smoking 2 packs a day. It got her down to 1 pack a day and made her ration for herself. She managed to make 1 pack last a day and when she did not, she did not bother me and waited until the timer opened the box. You can not break into this box and nothing will stop the timer. Even taking out the battery does not work. Loved this

This thing is saving me from my weed addiction troubles. Instead of spending every minute of the day wondering whether I should smoke now or later, with this thing I only have to decide once. It's a huge mental relief. I can't live without it now, and I enjoy my smoking a lot more without the stress of overdoing it.

We read another review that suggested this box for an automatic cat feeder, and we love it!

Cat used to wake us up at 4 or 5am to remind us to feed her at 7. Ear plugs didn't work. We would suffer for hours and then slug upstairs to feed her. We give her the blue food egg featured in the picture so she is simultaneously amused and prevented from inhaling her food like a vacuum.

We needed a better solution, and none of the automatic cat feeders we researched would accommodate the egg.

After seeing the other cat owner's review, we decided to give this a shot. The jar arrived on time and nicely packaged. We spent a few weeks figuring out the best setup, given that the jar had to be tilted and raised up enough that the egg would roll out. Eventually we settled on what you see in the picture below! The black spot is a little bumper I glued to the lid to protect it as it falls off.

Now Cat sleeps with us peacefully until about 6am, at which time she quietly excuses herself and supposedly goes to sit by the jar with anticipation. She still has a bad yowling habit (particularly right after meals, oddly enough), but we're using other methods like clicker training and positive reinforcement to fix it. Other than that, she's a wonderful kitty, and this jar has made it so much easier to enjoy her company.

My only issue is that it would be nice to have a clock instead of a timer featured. We always have her egg roll out at the same time, so depending on when we put it in the night before we have to carefully count the hours and minutes. Then again, that's not the true purpose of this jar, so I have no reason not to give this five stars.

I ordered these boxes for my elderly mother who frequently confused the days of the week & subsequently took 2 or 3 days of her meds all in one day. I ordered 7 of your smallest safes (one for each day of the week) & placed each of her filled medicine boxes inside each safe, clearly labeled with the days of the week. I then programmed the boxes to unlock each morning at 6:00 am. We have used them for about a month now & they have worked beautifully. This product has helped my Mom remain independent for a longer period of time. Thank you.

This box is amazing. it's the best tool for postpone satisfaction.

I am a weed smoker.
weed is nice for having quality time and rest, and bad while need to work or study effectively since things are taking more time to do while you are high.

with this, I am able to lock the weed when I need to work, postpone my high satisfaction, and be much more productive.

and best thing, with this I am able to save my weed twice the time as usual, meaning I consume less, I smoke less.

This is the best thing for saving weed, or for regulating productive time. also, it has nice volume, so you can save in it a lot of weed easily.

the cons of this product are:
1. well, it is plastic made. it can break, it feels fragile.
2. it is pricey, pretty expensive for a plastic box with a time lock. for that price, I would expect something that is more robust, such as metal can and metal handle, or at list, aluminum.

for this, I remove 1 star from the maximum level.

This is a great product to get as gift for postpone satisfactions and regulate bad habits that cannot be stopped without force yourself to do so, also a great gift for productive stoners :-)

edit :

the box is tending to be very fragile, I already have a crack on its base with easy use.

for that price, this is very disappointing.

After I discovered that I could defeat the locking mechanism of the safe by pressing the bolts back through the slots, I emailed the company. In a comprehensive, detailed response, I was told how to address the problem:
1) Press and hold the top button for 5 seconds. This will realign the gears in the locking mechanism but will not unlock it.
2) Remove and reinsert the cells to ensure there are solid electrical connections at all contact points. Remove and reinsert the cells, which may have become misaligned. Be sure none of them is installed backwards.
3) If the problem still persists, replace the cells with fresh, fully charged ones. Energizer, Duracell, and Ray-O-Vac cells are consistently sized and of the correct length. Cells from other manufacturers may be incorrectly sized. It's important to note that rechargeable cells will not work.

Customer service is excellent. I sent my email on a Sunday evening and heard back within an hour.

Love this! I bought this to help me keep my recreational use of various things to a responsible level. It would be easy to break it open, but I have enough control over myself to stop that. Very big fan of this device.

If you have just a touch of self control, you can use this to stop yourself from overdoing it with recreational substances.

No drunk texting or driving

Excellent product. Bought this for phones and keys while having people over if alcohol will be involved. Prevents drunk driving and drunk texts. I have an S8 plus, and it barely fit in the mini, but will without a case. Excellent product and yes, you will still hear your alarm clock in the morning ;)

As a Halloween-lover with a massive sweet tooth, I know myself well enough to know that there's no way I'll be escaping the impending season without buying way more candy than is probably good for me. A random search to see if there was even such a thing as a locking kitchen box, led me to this item. And so far, this thing works great.

Yes, when I first got it I got a little angry when I wanted to grab a snack out of it and the timer still had a good 12 hours to go...but it does thankfully help me from binging on entire bags of sugar, which always makes me feel terrible in the end. I haven't had it long enough to tell if it will help in any sort of long term regulation of treat consumption, but as times goes on I've noticed it's easier to forget about it since I already know I'm not getting in there before the timer goes off. Generally I try to just not bring many sugary snacks in the house, but if you don't want to totally deprive yourself (particularly during special occasions), this is the next best thing.

Also, a tip for those who want to lock up things in the freezer. You can use an insulated lunch bag that has two zippers, lock them together, and put the key in the Kitchen Safe. I've done that with some candy that I don't want to leave on the counter all the time and that seems to be working just fine as well.

I Broke In!

I used this to help reduce and then quit smoking. There was a day that I locked the box before I was ready and had a bit of a panic. Long story short I HAD to get something from the box.

I took a drill and drilled away the plastic around the pegs to release them. It took about an hour. After I got in I was pretty bummed that I would need to buy a new box due to my poor planning but I did not!

There are 4 such slots for the lids tabs and because I was patient and only removed plastic at those spots I can now rotate the lid 90% and continue to use it as intended. Still a great box though I don't really use it now that I quit smoking.
