This is the biggest piece of crap I ever bought off Amazon
by Jim F. (1 out of 5 stars)

This is the biggest piece of crap I ever bought off Amazon. There's no way it'll reliably hold 6 keys let alone 14. It loosens up during normal use, and is completely useless. It is a terrible, horrible product. I have no idea how anyone can actually use this thing with more than a couple of keys and give it a positive review.

Even with Loctite on the cheap-ass screws, it loosened up within a day of normal use.

It's Dollar Store quality, and horrendously overpriced. They must've paid a fortune (or given away a bunch of these things) to people to get so many good reviews. I bought this P.O.S. and it was like Bizzaro World. I'm never going to believe an Amazon review again.

Don't buy this. Seriously, don't.

Lasted 10 days. Very disappointed.

I loved this product for about ten days. I went to add an one more key today that I had space for and when I took it apart I noticed all of the barrels that the posts screw into were split. I am feeling lucky that I didn't loose my keys. Just for grins with no keys on it I screwed it all together using my fingernail and it snapped in two pieces! I wish this would have worked I was very cautious about over tightening. I feel like I just threw away the purchase price of this. Until some higher quality materials or something is done I do not recommend this product. 0 stars should be available.

An over-hyped product that falls short - very disappointed

Way too complicated. In the seller's defense they do provide lots of help. They sent me an email with links for assembly even before I received it. When an email from the seller highlights how difficult assembly is going to be is areal red flag. Problem is I only really needed this for two household keys and after about 20 minutes I got it assembled and found it just was too flimsy to trust it to hold the keys without falling apart. I disassembled it and put in a spacer on top of each key - it help but still was not making me feel it would hold up in the long term. I tried tightening the screws and this just made the keys hard to move. The concept here is a good one but they fall far short in the execution phase. I'd be very uncomfortable using this for more than 2 keys. Another case of a product advertising over-promising and then under-delivering. I cannot recommend this product. Debating on returning. This is a very hyped product and I took a chance buying it - I regret falling for the hype.

A few design flaws
by LadyO (2 out of 5 stars)

So the two challenges I foresaw with this came true. Dealing with non uniform keys, and keeping the screws from loosening. This works well if all your keys are the same size and do not have odd placed holes. Also, the maximum capacity is difficult to pull off. There's not enough screw thread (even without using spacers) to keep the two pieces intact. The minute I would open out one of the keys, it would loosen and come apart. I have eight keys, so I bought the one for up to 8. Go a size up.

I have a couple of very long keys, and they don't nest well. I also have a key with a side drilled hole and it messes up the nesting. The other major problem is each time you use a key, the screws loosen a bit. After several times, the keys start swinging freely out of the nesting, effectively undoing what the dang thing claims to do; Keeping them compact and nested. Ultimately, I used this for the keys I don't use every day, like my storage cage or other locks that aren't opened all the time. I think the design needs some rework to be able to really use this as intended. Good idea, bad execution, at least for me.

Expensive gimmick for 6 keys not to jingle.
by Amazon Customer (1 out of 5 stars)

Flimsy and spacers are just paper washers. Tiny screws hold aluminium shafts that goes through key hole.I was able to get 6 keys on this and it's maxed out. So expensive considering. I was in no way discounted for this review although I asked to to get a discount not response from seller.

Not as Advertised and Not Recommended.
by Stuart K (1 out of 5 stars)

Although this key holder is advertised as having the ability to hold 8 or more keys, using both ends of the holder, the "classic" version was uanble to hold keys using both ends. This is because the holder is not long enough to allow for sets of keys to be easily alternated using both ends, unless the keys are of exceptionally narrow width and much shorter than typical keys. It would probably be best used for a few (about 4) small keys placed on one end, and none on the other. As a result, I found this item not worth the effort, and would not recommend it.

Broke in less than a week
by Scott L. Price (3 out of 5 stars)
August 18, 2014

It was a good idea and nice to not have keys jangling in my pocket, but after only using the KeySmart for about a week it broke after simply dropping my keys in a parking lot. The extension post snapped off leaving the threads inside, so it is now unusable. Apparently there is no warranty of any sort.

I purchased two keysmarts from their website, but posting my review here to help my fellow Amazon shoppers. I was excited to get one of these for my husband for Christmas, and I got him all the bells and whistles, the extended version, with 16GB fob and can opener. I couldn't resist and got this smaller version for myself in the shiny blue. We both really like them, however my husband's just broke after 2 months of use. We recently moved to a new apartment and had to change out the keys, and while my husband was fixing his keysmart, the screw easily broke and now the entire thing is unusable. I am waiting to hear back from Keysmart. Hopefully they can send some replacement parts. I haven't touched mine yet because I'm too afraid the same thing will happen too. So right now they are just sitting around collecting dust. I will update my review if things improve.

Pricey but worth it.
by Hawaii Shopper (5 out of 5 stars)

Love this product but it is pricey for what it is. Good instructions and videos on how to assemble. Using a paper clip to align is genius!

Takes getting used to as the keys are no longer loose and dangling individually to fit into tight spaces. You cannot put colored key caps to identify your keys and may have to color your keys with a permanent marker instead. One thing good about it is that in time, you end up remembering which key is located in their respective side and order. Even to the point you can pick our the keys in the dark without the need of a light.

One problem I have that I'd like to share - I'm using this key holder with the same chevy fob as pictured in the example. Often times I find my car getting locked and unlocked unintentionally when the keys are in my pocket. After further review, I noticed the key holder is pressing agains the buttons when sitting in my pocket. The best way to fix this is to put another item on the keyring to act as a spacer between the holder and the keyfob. Can be a bottle cap opener, key tag, or another keyring. I know it is defeating the purpose of the key holder keeping the keys in an orderly fashion to minimize the space in your pocket but thats what does the job.
