I saw a lot of comments on the poor quality of these tongs. While they are not as strong as my normal kitchen tongs, I didn't expect these novelty items to work great. However, handling carefully, they have turned t-bone steaks multiple times and held up fine. I wouldn't use them for heavy things a lot though.

Also no problem with the sound either.

Doesn't look like it'll work to turn over fajitas or anything for that matter on the grill. Maybe just to pass out the bread during gatherings.... LOL!

My husband liked it though. Only because he's a huge Star Wars fan.

But the actual tongs look cheap.

Oh well, as long as he liked it right? :)

I hit this for my dad on his birthday. It's absolutely awesome, the only thing I'd change is that it made the sound effects as it's being waved (like the toys). It just sounds like a lightsaber was opened, and then it turns off after a bit.

Nothing but a "Gag" gift but it won't even allow you to flip burgers. Ince you close the tongs, you can't open them without unlocking again. Save your money. This is not the gift you're looking for.

As advertised. Very good quality. Excellent price. There is though a small detail with the lock for the tongs. Its counter productive since when you close them to grab a piece of meat they remain locked and you have to push the button again. That kind of adds difficulty to turning around the meat or anything on the grill. I strongly recommend a new design where the locking feature is somehow something that one can choose to have it on or off. I end up breaking the plastic lock and using the red tube to keep them closed. Besides that I loved the tongs. Great grilling toy.

I bought these for my father in law loves Star Wars and loves to grill so of course a win for me! I wanted to order the spatula but it was out of stock. That would have made it even more awesome! He loved that it was red, he's a Darth Vader fan lol He used them the next day and loved it! The cool sound affects made him laugh lol So all in all great gift!! He was happy so I was happy

I found this while looking for my boyfriends birthday gift. He likes Star Wars and he likes to grill. Boom, perfect gift. I bought it in April and he still uses it to grill today. He likes the lightsaber noises it makes and like to swing it around. Even if there's food in the tongs... -.-

Great gift to go with my husband Star Wars grill (also from amazon) these tongs are very long-not super heavy duty but they work. They make the light saber noise :) he liked it.

The idea is great and they are entertaining as hell. If you are buying these as your only bbq tongs and plan to grill nothing larger than a burger, you will be fine. Otherwise, they are pretty flimsy and I don't expect them to hold up for very long. If you want them more because freaking lightsaber tongs then it is worth it. If you want them because you NEED tongs and this one happens to be a lightsaber...you might want to buy regular ones.
