This is not what I ordered. This came in a plastic bag, that had holes in it. It came filthy, blades are bent, no saftey case. Nor does it have handle grips like the picture. Not that it would take a genius to figure out how to use it.. But not even a manufacturing lable, and there appears to be rust on the blades.

It took two men to try to cut a watermelon with this product and one of them is a black belt! My husband cut his thumb in the process. Sorry to say, this product is just not up to the job of cutting a melon, especially as a woman. Two men tried and we ended up using a knife. All show and no go. I must add that this is my first complaint from any product I've purchased from Amazon.

Not safe! Not the item in the picture!

I did not receive the item that is in the picture. It is very cheaply made, almost broke when applying pressure to it and nearly cut our hands when we tried using it. We couldn't possibly cut anything more than mashed potatoes with this. It was making cracking noises when we tried to use it. I'm returning!

DO NOT BUY!!! I always go by the reviews and this one time I didn't. This broke the first time we tried to cut a water melon. Lesson learned - $14 thrown away.

Blades aren't sturdy.

Worst spontaneous buy ever. Blades aren't sturdy enough to cut a watermelon, like it says. And I've tried several times. The blades will flex under stress. If the blades are thicker it would be worthy of buying again.

I haven't used this item yet, I bought it for my mother in law who eats lots of honeydew melons. I was taken aback by how large this slicer is! It would be perfect for watermelon and larger fruits. I think she will really enjoy it.

All you need to know is that this thing "DOES NOT WORK"! Tried on large and small melons and could get it to penetrate the rind at all. To the trash it goes.
