We bought these TWO alike ties for a vacation we are going on with our best friends. So we have not used them yet. We did put batteries in them and tried them on. They are so nice, the guys are going to wear them to dinner with black shirts. We were shocked at the high quality, and were even more surprised at at way they go on, we thought it would be some cheap elastic, but it is a novel concept with an adjustable zipper! After vacation we will post a picture

Not All Light-Up Ties Light Up To Sound

For those who thought this tie lights up to sound, it does not. This tie is one of those ties that do not light up to sound. With a push of the button on the battery pack, different light patterns change. I'm not writing a review that's bad, it's just the info for many owners of light-up ties that think it all of them lights up to sound. Another note, Tom Hanks would be glad to wear this tie, just to remind him of his PIANO SCENE from the 1988 movie BIG. As I was saying, that there are animated ties (like thie piano pattern) that does not light up to sound. I know there these designs: the American Eagle, the Falling Astronaut, and the Rubber Duckies. So here's a word for ELECTRIC STYLES: I hope you have MORE designs for the animated ties (other than the designs listed). That way, those who enjoy the light-up ties (both sound-activated or not) can continue being the LIFE OF THE PARTY (like myself)! :D

Not sound activated

Sound does not change the tempo of the lights. There are premade patterns. The tie does have a sharp noise that is made every time the leds move. The wiring on my was bad and the lower part would not always work. I'm returning it. I was disappointed that the sound active part was false. Outside of that, it's a fun tie once you lower your expectations.

I bought this tie to wear at night. I am very happy with the tie that arrived. This tie would not be good to wear during the day. Before you turn on the lights, it does look like a party tie. I don't believe it would pass for a regular tie at all. I normally wear a large shirt and this fit comfortably around my neck. Once I turned on the lights on this tie, I wore it for hours with no problems. Everyone loved it. I think its a fun tie that was worth the cost. It makes me want to purchase additional designs.

The company was very quick to follow up on the purchase, which was impressive. When I shared with them the issue of the music being at a sound level being just above a whisper, I have yet to hear from them. Disappointing.

The tie itself was a huge hit as a gift for someone at my office.

For the price, I would personally say it is worth it, BUT I would see why some people would think it is expensive. You just have to be REALLY CAREFUL on NOT BENDING it, since it will ruin the lights. I did like it enough if I have some money to spare I will order another one.

purchased as a gift for my boyfriend. It's super cool. Its bright and really flashy. I don't think its meant for a professional situation but definitely turned a lot of heads and started a lot of interesting conversations on our trip to NOLA.

This is a really fun tie. I wore it to our work party and got tons of kudos for the best tie. The lighting of the room was lower than usual, but not dark, and the tie was very noticeable. There was a VERY faint noise, but you couldn't hear it at all (which in my opinion is good). Very glad I purchased this tie.
