I hate sandals. Don't like wearing them. I dislike their almost complete lack of protection. I have the classic full toe boxed Keens as well and find them just a little too clunky for hiking about. Then I found these and snagged a pair.

Three days of hiking mountain trails through, streams, rivers, waterfalls, boulder fields, dead-fall, slippery moss covered everything, light climbing, and they performed perfectly. The comfort is fantastic, the grip superb, and they look no worse for wear other than some discoloration. They also fit my duck feet (very wide). I had several people on the trails ask me about them, gave them the same recommendation as here and all of them said they were going to buy a pair as well. Wish I could wear these year round or something as comfortable.

If you're on the fence, buy them. I've not had a better shoe.

I chose these based on the idea they would let plenty of air in, but protect my toes more when outside. Open sandals do a better job of being airy. The Keens fit me snugly but comfortably and do stretch out slightly with wear. You might feel some minor scratchy places when you first wear them but it disappeared for me after first 4-5 times wearing them.

Really can't put these on without using your hand to hold tongue fully extended while you get your foot in. You can take them off without using your hands using your other foot to slide back strap off.

I like their appearance, as it is not the run of the mill sandal. They're really flexible and handle different terrains well. Like most sandals they will occasionally trap small debris under your foot, and their more enclosed construction makes it more difficult to extract those items. Rather than shaking it out like a sandal you might have to take off the shoe to get it out. Overall, even with minor issues like these, I would buy them again, and would recommend them. Picture shows shoe after weeks of daily wear.

When I first saw these sandals in the store, I thought no way. I'm in my early 50's and thought I missed the window by probably 25 years. But they sure were comfortable when I tried them on. When I saw a decent price online I rolled the dice and bought a pair. They instantly became my go-to pair of sandals and I am considering a second pair in a different color. I never believe it when reviews state this, but honestly I have lost count of the number of people who have asked me about them. They usually say something along the lines of "I've never seen anything like those. They look comfortable." They're right on both counts. The sandals are exceptionally comfortable and keep your feet cool. In terms of comfort, it feels like you're wearing mesh socks.

I have generally flat feet and take a 12.5 wide. I bought a 13 in these and they fit very well. There is some arch support, but not so much that it would make them unwearable for me. I wouldn't hike in them, but I don't hesitate to throw them on for a mile or two walk around the neighborhood with my wife or my dog. Really, really like these.

I've written two other reviews on these sandals which are really hi-tech huaraches.

These are my third pair.

I liked the colorway and gum sole.

I have two other pair in the closet.

The sizing is dead on.

Enough said.

If you haven't pulled the trigger on these puppies do it ...now.

You'll be glad you did.

These are some of the coolest looking most comfortable sandals you'll find.

Just received these, they came 1 day early. Bought them for my husband for Christmas, but I had to have him try them on to make sure they fit. He is normally an 11.5 and I purchased a size 12 because the other reviews said they ran a little small. They fit him perfectly...HE LOVES THEM. They are the classiest looking men's sandal (for a casual dress look) and they will be perfect for outdoor weddings, nights out at the beach or going to gallery receptions, etc. They are very well made. I was apprehensive because I thought they could look really cheap because they are not real leather, but they look so good. They are not real leather for the purpose of wearing them in the water if you choose to, but to me they are too nice a sandal to wear in the water. We are both very well pleased with these sandals...and I am going to buy my self a few pairs in different colors.

These shoes are great! Me and my girlfriend bought a pair to use at theme parks and just going for walks. As far as sizing goes, I wear an 11 1/2 in Nikes. I tried these shoes on at cabelas and though the 11 1/2 was just a tad big, but still wearable. I actually went with the 11's as I preferred a more snug fit. Looking back, maybe I should have just gotten the 11 1/2, but I, still happy with the way mine feel. My feet breathe just fine. After walking all day at Six Flags, I started to get a little scratchy feeling on the tops of my toes where the shoe bends. I did notice small abrasions but it wasn't anything harmful. Minus that, after 7hrs of walking, the bottoms of my feet felt fine and not soar. I'm glad I had these sandals on and not some tennis shoes and socks. I would totally recommend these shoes to others. Every time I wear these I get compliments and questions asked.

These will be a huge hit very soon. They fit great right out of the box. I always wear 10.5 and occasionally 11. The 10.5 is perfect and glad that is what I ordered. I am close to needing an 11 but I don't. Buy these!

I really like the look of these shoes. The first couple of days, I wore them around the house snd they felt fine. I decided to keep them and wore them for a 1/2 mile walk. Still, I was happy with the feel. Next, I wore them on a walk that was going to be about 4 miles. After 1 mile, I had to turn around as the ripple of the edge of the tongue started to rub my toe top and was creating a blister. I had to take off the shoe half way home (1.5 miles) and walk the last 1/2 mile bare footed. This was only on my left foot (middle toe) so I'm hoping that after recovery, I will be able to wear again. I will update if this is just a break-in issue or an inherent problem with this particular shoe.

I was expecting these to be too small, but I was pleasantly surprised when I put them on the first time, They fit like they were made for me. My feet are between 8 1/2 and 9 the size estimator recommended size 9, so that's what I bought and I'm so glad cause they fit perfectly. The other reviews suggest buying a 1/2 size up but in my case I'm just right for the 9, I'm so pleased that I'll buy another pair later on.

Update:01-23-2017 Last year we went on two vacations the first one was to New York City, These Sandals was very comfortable we used the subways and went to the Statue of Liberty (all the way up into the crown) we went to Yankee Stadium, One World Trade Center, Times Square that just part of the trip but I received lots of compliments, and they're just as comfortable as the day I purchased. I also went to Colorado and they held up just fine, I survived the Sand Dunes, and all the hiking trails. Great product!!

Not for wide feet.

Great idea. I so wanted these to work for me. But I have slightly wide (D) feet. These were uncomfortably snug. Laces all the way out and still too narrow. I tried the size I normally wear in keens, 10.5, and those were way too tight. So I tried going up a half size to 11. Better but still too tight. If I go up any farther in size they'll look like clown shoes. I tried to find the wider version of this shoe on the internet and came out with nada. I wish keen made these wider. But apparently they don't.

So. If you're a D width, they probably won't be comfortable for you.

And to all those saying "I have wide feet but M is perfectly fine...". Newsflash!! You don't have wide feet. So. Thanks for nothing to those of you medium width shoe wearers.
