It recharged my Surface Pro 3 tablet when its power indicator dropped down to 30% or so; but the tablet's own AC adapter unit (36 watts) got quite hot, and I stopped the process at ca. 85%, believing that the voltage output from the ChargeAll might be getting low, allowing for too many amps to be drawn. I continued to use the tablet during the charging process, however, and perhaps I should have turned it off instead, I don't know. Bottom line: The ChargeAll is the only such small, portable AC charger I am aware of and it did work acceptably, so I'll continue using it. For resistive electrical devices such a lamp, I think it would be perfectly safe. However, for electronics or inductive loads of any kind I'll be keeping a close eye out for overheating issues until I have more experience with it.

Great idea, and really performs well with some things. However, considering it sells you on the "Charge your Apple Laptop" in the picture in the description, so far it has failed to adequately work when charging my macbook pro. When I plug in my laptop, the battery pack shuts off after about a minute (or less). There's still plenty of juice left in it, but it will not provide a constant charge and I have to keep turning it back on. USB part of it works great.

I find that it charges up quickly and runs out of juice just as fast. After having it charged all the way up it didn't have enough juice to completely recharge my surface pro 3 as it only would charge it up to 65%.

As a portable battery it works just fine and has a decent battery life. I used it on a camping trip and the battery dies very easily in the cold. So If you plan on using this for electricity while camping in cold weather.... then look elsewhere.

Dont bother to buy this. It performed very poorly then it stopped working after one month waste of 85$$$
