Perfect for old fashioneds! I wish they would make one that had a double-wall -- the glass tends to get pretty slick as it thaws. But still really like the product.

The packaging is super nice. I wasn't sure exactly how this thing was going to work but then the magnetic cover snapped out and showed a step by step guide. It was then that I realized that you had to put the whole glass in the freezer. I feared what would happen when the ice expanded, let alone the temperature difference between the ice and room temperature whisky. But I figured maybe they used Pyrex or some other temperature-tolerant glass.

I pulled it out of the freezer about eight hours later and it looked okay. I looked around it for any signs of breakage, no problems! So I poured in my whisky of choice (Aberlour 12). It rapidly melted the lower portion of the wedge, which I thought was sort of odd given the sales pitch of a large volume of ice with limited surface area. But all in all, it was a cool drink of not very watered down whisky.

It was when I got up to wash it out that I realized a hairline fracture had formed at some point. Maybe I couldn't see it with the frost from the freezer or maybe it formed after the lukewarm beverage rapidly warmed it. But in any case the glass cracked after the very first use.

I'm fairly sure I followed the instructions to the letter, but even then you'd think it could survive more than one use.

I can't in good conscience recommend it to anyone. See attached picture for evidence.

Got this for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. Pro tip, wrap the box and have the cup already frozen in the freezer! He really liked it and said it was better than the ball shaped ice formers. I started putting lemon twist into the water and then freezing, which gave a nice aroma for his sazerac. I'm thinking you could infuse the ice with all kinds of drink accoutrements. Glass feels solid and expensive, form is also very well made. I'm really happy with this purchase!

They're nice glasses but don't really work in practice because as it melts, the wedge detaches and smacks around while you're drinking.......stick to the spheres.

Purchased this as a gift and it was a huge hit. The packaging was really well designed and looked awesome. The product actually works too! It kept my whiskey drinks cold for the whole night without swapping out the cube. Suprisingly, the glass was actually really nice quality as well. The size, shipping speed, and quality were all as advertised. Tip: Plan ahead of a party by freezing multiples! Freeze your ice and then pop it out, bag it, throw it in the freezer, and then freeze another! Works great for keeping your drinks cold for as long as the party lasts.

I bought this as a gift for my husband to give in conjunction with some high-end bourbon. He actually loved it. He's been reluctant to add ice to dilute expensive bourbon but he said that it actually did make it taste a little different and he liked the chill effect. Super easy to do, the only drawback is that you have to plan to some degree otherwise I would recommend buying two so you can rotate them and always have one in the freezer. We opted to use bottled water versus tap water just so that the flavor didn't mess with the bourbon. Instructions are super clear you snap the silicone form on the cup then there's an area for you to pour the water into up to a certain level and just pop it in the freezer. It's a piece of cake. Looks really cool once you fill it and it everything turns Frosty.

I got 2 of these to be able to enjoy Journeyman's Organic Rye Whiskey the way a local restaurant serves it. The price is fair considering that the product includes the glass plus the silicone insert to create the wedge. Don't know how I lived without these.

I'm not a HUGE whiskey drinker. Definitely not into the minutia of it like some people, that's for sure. I do like to have myself a glass at the end of a long day of photographing homes though. I just grab this glass out of the freezer, grab a bottle from the cupboard, fill it up, and am off to the races.

I like my whiskey to be a little "cut" by water. So I'll leave it be for 10 minutes or so and it's just perfect for my taste. The only downside is I will often times forget to rinse and re-fill the glass with water and put it back in the freezer which means the next time I reach for it...it's not there. In such cases, I just skip out. I pretty much won't partake at all if this thing isn't ready to go.

I had one of these given to me as a gift and immediately fell in love. This time around I bought one to give as a gift and I've already received a picture of it in use...! Win! Excellent product and really just so fun to look at as you enjoy your favorite tipple. Additionally, it's lovely for those who do enjoy that hint of water to bloom their beverage but don't want it watered down.

Bought it as a gift for my whiskey loving man and he's a big fan. Besides being a cool effect, it does actually work to keep your whiskey cold without watering it down as much. He said it's a little difficult to use, but he is also not great at reading the instructions and I haven't tried it myself to verify yet. Overall, he's a big fan and bought one himself to give to his brother. Good gift for anyone who likes their whiskey on the (slightly tilted) rocks.

Got it as a gift for my mom for mother's day. Yeah I know, I'm an awesome daughter.

She loves it. She says she also uses the cubes for her wine and loves how it doesn't water down her wine.
