Product Description

3 Minutes A Day Sit and Decompress Therapy. The Best $75 You Can Spend For Your Health And A 60 Day Money Back Guarantee! Can You Be Pain Free In 1 Week? How About 1 Day? By harnessing gravity, you can turn the tide on the squeezing and damaging effects that gravity can cause to your spine. In just a few minutes a day using Sit and Decompress, your spine has an amazing opportunity to absorb nutrients, re-hydrate the discs, decrease pain, and reverse damage. Sit and Decompress works by using the strong pull of gravity, your body and the four unique stances that focus where you want the spinal decompression to occur. Strapping into the harness will hold your upper body in place while your mid to low back become decompressed. This is a VERY POWERFUL STRETCH, the stretch is so effective we have x-ray proof of a 50% increase in disc space. This 50% increase equates to adding about 1-2 inches in length to your spine while in the harness just using gravity. NO OTHER THERAPY HAS THIS PROOF! (See Studies Below) This decompression is unique to Sit and Decompress. If you have tried other products for spinal decompression like an inversion table, then you are a perfect customer because you can then compare the differences and benefits from the quick results that are not available with inversion therapy. Results do vary but most people notice a difference the 1st time. "There is nothing that can compete with the safety, effectiveness, and overall speed that your condition will improve. I GUARANTEE IT" Dr. Josh Dorsey Inventor/Back Pain Guru

Instant Sciatica Relief, but...
by Amazon Customer (4 out of 5 stars)
June 22, 2018

First of all, let me say that I have a debilitating case of sciatica that literally takes me down for 2 weeks about twice a year. I decided to try to do something about it this time, so I ordered Dr. Dorsey's Sit and Decompress with some skepticism. When it arrived, I immediately set it up and strapped in, set the timer for 3 minutes and decompressed. Before I gave it a try, I could barely walk, but after 3 minutes I was AMAZED! No pain whatsoever and I could walk with ease! I did it again about an hour later and then once again this morning. I am very happy to report that after only three times decompressing, I am walking with little effort. I still have a slight pain on my left side, but absolutely nothing like it was before I started. I will continue decompressing at least once a day hopefully for the rest of my life. I'm knocking off a star for the following reasons:
1. I paid for 2 day shipping, but it took 7 days to arrive. I contacted Mr. Dorsey's company, and he refunded my postage, which was a plus financially, but did nothing for my pain.
2. I think it would be better if the straps were color coded (at least the ends) to avoid confusion.
3. The setup instructions really suck. In order to correctly install the device, you must have access to the Internet and go to their site to watch the video, otherwise you may incorrectly install it, which could result in injury. I know most people have access to the Internet, but what if you don't? Please spend more time and effort designing the setup instructions.

Other than that, this device is doing exactly as advertised. Thank you Dr. Dorsey!

Fantastic product. Exceptional customer service

I'm writing this review on my girlfriend's account. I'm a 210 lb man with a herniated L5-S1 disc and my torso is shaped like a tree trunk (not "v" shaped) with a 36" waist--I ordered the large and I have version 3 (I think). This is a fantastic product sold by an awesome company! I have been fortunate enough to have had constant chiropractic care, including decompression, since my lumbar injury. I can honestly say my pain has been reduced as much from this product as from the expensive decompression machines at the doctor's office for less than the cost of a couple decompression appointments. I also have an inversion table; it doesn't hold a candle to this product. There is a learning curve when starting out using this product to get the most out of it but the results are unmistakable from the first time you use it. I found that if I put on my Velcro lumbar support belt prior to buckling into the Sit and Decompress that it is pretty comfortable and it doesn't slip much as long as I get the belt under my rib cage (for me personally) and really get cinched in. Also you can lean forward a little bit to prevent the riding-up of the belt by pulling the front straps down from the chin-up bar before relaxing into decompression. The company honors their product quality very promptly and professionally. The belt is made of very durable materials and should stand the test of time. I'm very happy with this purchase. This product changed my life VERY quickly. I can work again! Thank you Dr. Dorsey for creating this affordable and marvelous harness.

It helps my wife tremendously
by jc (5 out of 5 stars)

We got this a while back through Amazon and it works great. My wife suffers from scoliosis and this harness has helped her relieve pressure in her back much better than our inversion table. It's easier to target the areas where she need the most stretching. We definitely recommend it! NOTE: make sure you measure well for the sizing because we thought we could both use it but it really is size specific and the material does not give much which is why she can use it and I can't... so look at the sizes correctly and make the determination before you purchase. One you get it you'll love it though!

I like using a Cervical Traction Collar Device blow up device ...
by David (4 out of 5 stars)
September 12, 2017

The product I give a 4 as it does what it says and allows your body weight to help decompress your spine. I like using a Cervical Traction Collar Device blow up device on my deck while I used this it seams to help make me feel that I was getting a full decompression. The owners/inventors need to do the following 1) Rip up and and throw away the 1st page of the instructions its useless. II almost return the harness based on the poor instructions provide as well as the bad videos. 1st video you could not see as they filled the black straps with a black back ground. The 2nd video wasn't even the same harness as it must be a prototype or a newer version.. I think they should color code the end of the straps to help match it to where it need to go. .. The biggest Con is that it cuts into your arm pit. This can be improved by offering a built in pad for the arm pit area. You probably can find a arm velco strap on pad somewhere on the market. Other then this I think this product is the real deal and will be here for some time to come. Nice job on the Invention!

Fantastic, have bilateral pars defect and buldging L5-S1 disk--it helps
by Northorn (5 out of 5 stars)
November 8, 2017

Fantastic, had mystery back pain after a quadratus lumborum sprain/spams near my spine that would get worse while sitting even though I was doing PT, stretches etc. Starting to resolve (finally) after using this just a little each night. Thanks!

Update:

Still a great product, but a word of warning--this is an extremely powerful stretch. I would venture to say this is actually a more thorough decompression then you would get on most machines under supervision. If you hold the stretch too long, and for too often you may have some instability as you stabilizing muscles and ligaments get stretched out. Remember to strengthen your core and back muscles muscles and use this device in moderation.

Recommended for disc herniations and to really loosen your backup
by RandyT (5 out of 5 stars)

Works well on my disc injury from 3 years ago, I injured myself moving tires from a barn and bent over and herniated L4 disc. I tried inversion table with no luck didn't like hanging upside down, ended up selling mine after 2 weeks online. Then went to PT for 12 weeks seemed to help a little. But the feeling I get when I use Sit and Decompress is different then anything else. I can actually feel my back stretching exactly where I need it. My favorite stance is flexion. I rock 20 times and each rock I can feel it loosening the tightness.

A GODSEND!!!!

Let me start by saying my husband fell from a 15ft tree stand when he was 19 and ruptured L4 & L5 disc. After YEARS of blocks he was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease also. There are days when he comes home from work and his left leg will be giving out on him and has him in a great deal of pain. All it takes is hanging in this device and he can walk normally again!! He says it is an IMMEDIATE RELIEF!! We have literally tried everything from inversion tables, decompression brace, acupuncture mat, tens units, etc.... and THIS product does the trick!! You have to make sure that when standing in the harness your feet are ever so slightly off the ground to get the full effect. And yes it is a bit tight under the arms, but the results far out weigh that.

After 7 months of use I can say this device works much better. I have not had any more lower back ..

February 14, 2018

Used an inversion table for years with mixed results. After 7 months of use I can say this device works much better. I have not had any more lower back pain cortisone injections since I started using this device. I use it for about 4-5 minutes before going to bed almost every night. The first harness developed a "twist" on one of the strap ends and the company send a replacement right away. Great customer service. I am ordering another one as backup, don't ever want to be without this device. Wish I had found this device years ago. Wake up almost without pain!

Wow it really works! A couple suggestion for next version....
by AmazonUser (4 out of 5 stars)

Review:

For the past year or so my back has been KILLING me. The junction where the T12/ L1 meet has become hyper mobile to compensate for my upper back being extremely tight. This caused a pinched nerve which I'd feel all day long as dull pain and then wake me up in the middle of the night from severe & sharp nerve pain. Anyone that has had nerve pain knows this is no joke (advil, aleve, percoset, etc won't touch the pain, nothing helps you just suck it up - so I'd be getting out of bed at 4 am almost every day because I couldn't deal with the pain any longer). I'm sure this is due to inactivity, sitting behind a PC for 8 hours a day and bad posture. I've spent hundreds of $ going to to PT for months, acupuncture treatments and a cortisone shot which all did absolutely nothing for me. The next step was to go back to the doctor and get an MRI/ back surgery - no thanks.

I figured my spine was compressed so started with hanging on a pull up bar for a minute or so at a time as that's all I could do but it wasn't enough. I then found this product and figured I'd give it a shot but wasn't hopeful as nothing else seemed to work - my trouble spot is right at the very edge of where this product is no longer effective because the waist strap starts to cover it.

I started using it twice a day and 3 minutes per stance and I can honestly say within a week, the pain decreased so much that I was able to sleep through the night without waking up due to pain. First time within about 6 months. I just could not believe it.

And it seems to have semi lasting results; I haven't used it in about a week and still able to sleep through the night. I now use it as needed and when my back starts talking to me. No it's not a cure all & Yes there's still some dull pain noticeable throughout the day but at least it's manageable and almost never sharp like it was before.

I will say that I made some other changes along with this. As my bad posture behind a PC perpetuated this, I needed to also correct it so purchased Upright GO | Posture Trainer which vibrates every time you slouch - otherwise doing the Sit and Decompress really would just be a bandaid for the bigger issue.. I also am working on increasing core strength via exercise. I used to get sciatic flare ups all the time and noticed doing a bunch of lunges help prevent these. This 3 pronged approach is what works for me.

Suggestions:

While it indeed is extremely effective for lower back issues, you really need to follow instructions to get a good fit and prevent slippage into the armpits. For those complaining of slippage, you need to ensure the TOP of waist strap is tight and UNDER your chest muscles/ breasts - NOT on top of them. If it starts to slip, then it's not tight enough. As it needs to be really tight, you can at times feel like you can't get a good breath. Maybe proper & padded support under the armpits as well could alleviate this a bit so you don't need it so tight?

The youtube vids really helped with this. I couldn't figure out the reason for the double D hooks on the over shoulder straps at first but found they were to rest your arms if needed. Maybe better pictures of each feature in detail could be provided in the instructions as well as a link to Dr Josh's YT channel.

Only other suggestion I can think of is I'd love to be able to also decompress my thoracic spine. There's nothing on the market that will do this unless you want blood rushing to your head on an inverted traction table - which I do not.

But how can this be done as the waist strap is taking all of the weight and covering the thoracic spine in the process? Maybe instead of the current waist strap, use a rigid inverted V type strap supported at the top and padded arm rests leaving your entire spine exposed and able to decompress. I'd buy this in a heart beat

Works for sciatica BUT there is a learning curve! If you use it daily for 20 minutes it works
by Nar (5 out of 5 stars)
April 6, 2019

I've had steam cells, physical therapy, acupuncture, chiro etc and nothing has worked better than this. I started using it 3-5 mins and worked only temporarily. However, I started hanging for 20 mins 3x day and I get relief for a whole day. I know it sounds like a lot but find a video to watch while your hanging.

Also, there is a learning curve in using it. You have to buckle and tighten the bottom strap FIRST as hard as you can and then top strap. Focus on the bottom strap FIRST. I put the bottom really tight under my breasts then hang and adjusts even tighter. The top strap goes at the end and not as tight. At the end, the harness should be wrapped in a V.
