Just received the grill yesterday and used it last night for hamburgers. We have a gas stove and it worked wonderfully. The hamburgers were delicious and did taste like they'd been grilled outside. It was easy to use and to clean. I did have a splatter problem around the burner but it was not a big deal to clean the stove top after dinner and worth it for the taste! It actually didn't make any more mess than cooking hamburgers in my cast iron skillet. We're looking forward to steaks, etc...It's so nice to know that we don't have to brave bad weather to get our grilled food when days are cold or rainy. Good purchase!!!

Samgyupsall!

We haven't tried putting other liquids in the bottom ring other than water. We saw that you have to have something in there before using it. The main reason for buying this was for that traditional look for Korean cooking at a table and also... alsooo <<< because when we had wet samgyupsall while grilling on our OLD setup it was popping the grease because mixed with water. But on this alot of the grease was dripping off the side and down into the lower ring so the odds of it spraying up was much less. Also our couple times grilling we never had a problem with boiling water in the lower ring while still having plenty off heat (cooking the samgyupsal really fast).

I'd buy this again. Good deal foor the $$$

Prep: 1 cup water in ring. Pam both sides of grill. Preheated on med-high electric stove for 5 minutes. Grilled 2 chuck eyes (4 oz each) for 5 minutes per side.Steaks were rare - just the way I like them. Absolutely no smoke! Hand washed in soapy water - clean up was a breeze.

Next will be pork chops; chicken breast; seafood; etc. perhaps with wine & spices in the ring (rosemary, dill, etc.).

We needed a way to "BBQ" smaller sized shrimp (and chicken) without having to deal with the full size outside BBQ (especially in the winter) and putting something over the cooking grates so they don't fall through. This works perfectly, we can bbq dozens of medium/large shrimp in under 10 mins on our stove top and takes 30 seconds to clean up and stores in a small drawer!

Also make sure you are buying the quality Grill It brand item. There are some other knock offs around with a really cheesy low quality cooking surface

Simply feel this is a Knock Off product and not the original Grill It. Yes we have cooked on it and it does work with steaks and some vegetables we have cooked. (Chopped broccoli, onions, carrots, cauliflower) It works is all I can say and for now I am happy with it.

Love this thing! Since getting it, I use it at least twice a week for all meats and some vegetables. Easy to use, easy to clean up, and my husband thinks it's a fairly good substitute when getting outside to use the big gas grill is difficult.

Nice little 'grill' unit to cook with indoors. I have used it once, for prawns. Good results, and easy to clean. The ring with liquid is a little tricky to transport over to the sink to dump it out.

I ordered this product for $35.00. I also ordered a $19.00 Stove Top Smokeless Grill Indoor BBQ. Instead of receiving one of each, I received two of the exact same less expensive Stove Top Smokeless Grill Indoor BBQ. The only difference between the outside of the boxes labeled as Stove Top Smokeless Grill Indoor BBQ were that there was a tiny adhesive sticker that said Grill It. Inside both boxes was the Stove Top Smokeless Grill Indoor BBQ.

I politely complained about this on the chat section asking either for a $16 refund or credit. They quickly agreed to repay the $16 difference to my credit card within 24 to 48 hours. I am fine with that. By the way the less expensive Stove Top Smokeless Grill Indoor BBQ worked fine. I am disappointed that I did not have the opportunity to try out the Grill It that was reported to be so much superior to what I ordered and received. Sigh!
