I have this and the Nano S by Ledger. Honestly it does not matter what cold device you use, just get your keys offline period. Please new users understand this; cold storage and soft(hot) storage of any kind of does not store your bitcoin. Cold storage is meant to store your private keys to your bitcoins offline. Bitcoins or any other cypto currency remains in the virtual space. No one can gain access to them unless they have knowledge of your private keys. Most online soft(hot) storage, phone apps, pc's are continuously connected. You have more of a risk of exposing your keys. The more your keys are at risk being online, the more chances a hacker has. I don't care if the app on any device that says your key are safe, a hacker is a hacker and they will get to it.

Even if you connect the cold device to a computer or phone to access, your keys are still blocked from being seen. A confirmation request is made on the device, and yet your keys are hidden. It's a no brainier!

Seriously take the time and know-how. I learned all this the hard way. I suggest anyone take the necessary precautions with their crypto investments.

Safe and stealthy bitcoin wallet, plus soon a password manager

This is an excellent wallet that keeps your coin safer than software wallets, or - god forbid - trusting an exchange with your fortune. It was easier to use than I anticipated: firmware and software installed easily (even on Linux), and you operate it through your PC (I thought you had to enter your PIN and passphrase on the tiny thing, but the two buttons on it are only for Yes/No decisions).

My favorite feature is that it can have hidden wallets which are encrypted with a passphrase. This way, you can have a decoy wallet with a low balance on it, and keep the stash away from anyone that asks, say, at customs. Speaking of stealth, I'm glad this device looks a little cheap, as if it was an AC remote or something, and not like it has nuclear codes on it like the Ledger Nano.

As a neat surprise value, the maker also has a password manager in the works (currently in Beta), which looks promising, and again, should be more secure than using a software-only solution.

This should be the first thing you buy when you reach $100 in BTC. Solid unit. The web wallet leaves a lot to be desired, but functions perfectly with Electrum, including the mobile executable. It does have a somewhat limited coin selection that it works with, so pay attention to that before you purchase. It works with about 75% of my crypto portfolio, and they roll out new coins somewhat often. Record your seed words, practice restoring with your seed words, and keep them in a safe place!!! 100% open source and peer vetted.

First time buyer for this type of product, but found it to be impressive.

Pros:
- Packaged in a secure box with an anti-tamper tape. This is a nice feature as this proves that your device has not been tampered with on the way to your residence.
- Device automatically updates and wipes the moment it is inserted into your PC/Mac machine on the Trezor website.
- Only way to access the wallet online is if the device is connected to an available USB slot on your PC/Mac
- Wallet can provide different wallet addresses that can be used
- Can be used with the Sentinel app for ease of use
- The numbers displayed on the screen appear in a 3X3 grid and the numbers change position each time you log into the wallet

Cons
- Easy to lose due its small size
- Small screen can be difficult to read especially for confirming the address of the recipient wallet address
- Included USB wire is short, so if you have a computer under your desk it makes it difficult to attach
- The graphs on the website used to access the device that indicate your spending and receiving is confusing

After spending time with this wallet, the benefits of a secure way to store my cryptocurrency out way the negligible downsides.

Be careful, I got it this afternoon and first followed their instruction to download chrome app but it's not working, then I use Firefox browser and it works ask me to download Trezor bridge, then my USB mouse just stop working and I have to restore my computer to restore point to recover that. Then I tried to plug in my PC, the screen just ask me to go to trezor.io/start but when I went there, it's helpless. this website do not even have a phone number, they relied on Amazon do their service, How dare you use this kind of companies' product to save your wealth? I am scared. now I am scanning my laptop to make sure no virus was send to my computer.

If you do anything with crypto coins you know the importance of securing your private keys. Private keys never leave this device and unlike software wallets they are never in computer memory where they are potentially exposed to hackers and malware.

This item malfunctioned the third time I used it. It powers on but no computer will recognize it AFTER I loaded crypto currencies on it. Customer service has not been able to solve via email, the only available method.

Too Much Spam Advertising

I am writing a negative review because I have just gotten so tired of the spam advertising on this device. First.. I understand you need to update the firmware but the warning takes up the entire top 35% of the screen. Plus the firmware update wipes the entire device causing you to loose your wallet and forcing you to do a complete restore. Followed by that is a huge warning basically saying if you don't sign up for their marketing email then your device is insecure. Seriously? How does giving you my private email address so you can spam me make my device more secure? Last the left quarter of the screen contains more ads! Seriously? I bought your product but that's not enough. I need to see more ads for your other products?

The only safe way to store your Cryptocurreny and Bitcoin. If you're not using this for $100, it may be the worst decision of your crypto career. $100 for piece of mind is absolutely worth every penny.

Easy to use, safe, and it's nice having something physical. Look at that little guy, so tiny!

Only reason it did not get 5 stars is because the casing is flimsy and the rope broke the plastic off in the first week. Still holds my coin though!!

Waste of money

Waste of money, the thing is so small and it even rattles! It froze half way through install and now the computer wont recognize it, cant fix. wasted 180 bucks. Youll feel ripped off if you buy the trezor.
