Product Description

Most desktop stands lift your entire MacBook in the air, then require the use of a separate external keyboard and mouse. ParcSlope is a new kind of hybrid stand that elevates your MacBook screen higher - while tilting your keyboard at desk level for more comfortable typing. This gives you the extra screen height you need, without giving up the use of your MacBook keyboard or trackpad. You can then use your more comfortable MacBook by itself, or add a second external monitor for dual-screen desktop use. This versatile, modern stand also has a built-in cable management system that keeps your desktop connections ready for action. ParcSlope works as a typing/drawing wedge for iPad Pro as well.

Features

  • Elevates MacBook screen for a more comfortable, neck-friendly tilt versus laying flat on a surface
  • Holds iPad Pro (12.9-inch only) at a perfect and secure angle for sketching, annotating, or editing with Apple Pencil
  • Open wedge design increases cooling and airflow around MacBook or iPad Pro
  • Cable management keeps connections handy and accessible during use, and in place when using iPad or MacBook on-the-go

I wish it would have lasted!

I've had this product almost exactly 2 months. I use it to hold my MacBook Pro touched 15 inch. I was in love with this product when I got it, as it solved the real issue. Keeping the MacBook elevated provides for much better airflow and responsiveness from the system. It's also more comfortable from reviewing standpoint.

Alas, that was not to last. The attached picture is 60 days after purchase date. To be clear, this unit has never been moved off my desk, never exposed to anything like a solvent, and I don't live in a corrosive seaside environment.

I am currently searching for a gentle grip tape to place over the top of this item so that it will go back to holding my MacBook consistently. Right now I have to set the MacBook and Stand far enough back from the into the desk that if it were to slide there's no risk to the MacBook.
All in all I cannot recommend this product.

Nice but incredibly overpriced

Well made but expensive for what is. There are much cheaper alternatives. I've attached phots of a clylinder, which when pulled apart provides two 1 1/2" risers that can be used to elevate a drawing tablet. Cheap and very effective alternative- jus don't know who is selling them now. I wish I would have bought several pairs. The Twelve South ParcSlope is just too expensive. At that price, they should have thrown in a couple of replacement footpads. The price to replace a footpad that has dropped off is obnoxious. I'd suggest a trip to smething called H. Depot and just replace all four at same time so there won't be any rocking of the ParcSlope from all pads not being exactly the same height which is critical.

Rubber grip pads fall off after 1 year
by Tera (2 out of 5 stars)

I've had this stand for 18 months. I loved it for the first year, but immediately after that the rubber grippy pads started coming off. Now they have all come off and the stand slides around. It's a disappointment to pay so much for a laptop stand only to have it fall apart right after the warranty runs out. I contacted the manufacturer, but they were unable to help.

I've had the taller version of this for years. Maybe a different brand. My USB Hub's cable was too short and hung off the old one uncomfortably, so I looked for shorter version and found the ParcSlope. This stand is amazing. You can still type on it with the slight incline its at. I felt like the taller ones are not so easy to type on. Build quality is great. Works with my new 13in macbook pro and my old 15in pro. Also small enough to toss into clothes bag to travel with.

While the price may seem a little steep (lol), remember this product will likely outlast your current and next laptop, can travel with you, and also hold your tablet.

Perfect for stability and angle

I ordered this ( black version ) for my 12.9" ipad pro. I have the 3rd generation version, and it sits on here perfectly for drawing. No wobble, no issue with the rubber feet or padding for the device to rest on, although I just received it at the time of this review. I can't see the rubber feet coming off as other reviews have shown unless you abuse it. Even still they can be easily re glued if the problem exists. I find this way more secure then folding back the smartfolio over and it has a better angle. I would recommend this as it has good weight and overall is a quality item.

Needlessly marvelous

Um, I am blown away. There should be no reason to review a product like this because it is just a simple computer stand. I bought this particular model only because I have to push it to the back of my desk and there are cables feeding in directly behind it. The open back to this model looked like a good fit.

I had no idea it would be so solid, sleek, and amazing. It is heavier than you expect and feels very sturdy. The design looks great under my macbook and also when left behind on my desk.

The rubber components are no cheap afterthought. Somehow very soft and also crazy stiff. They feel like some sort of spage age material invented for docking with the space station.

I had no intention of getting a fancy stand... but I sure ended up with one. It is dumb how proud I feel having this stand on my desk. I know it is dumb, but I can't help it. This is a well built addition to my setup.

very nice construction the only thing is that mine was not adjusted properly to make full contact between my iPad pro and the stand. It kept slipping down and at one point i thought that the lip that holds it along the bottom should have been built up a little. then i turned it sideways and noticed that the angle was not correct and it was not making full contact between the contact surface and the ipad. took it down to the basement and applied the proper bending alignment and now its perfect. no more sliding, and the lip size is good. i wonder how many people use it without adjustment or if mine was just an outlier.

Just right!

I bought this to use my iPad Pro (12.9-inch) on my desk.

I own a recording studio and I needed a way to mount my iPad in order to use apps to control my setup.

Boxing was top notch. Everything about it felt very "Apple" like, making it feel very streamlined with your other apple products.

Same goes for craftsmanship on this stand. It's very robust, and it definitely feels high quality. All the way from the rubber ends at the top and bottom preventing your device from sliding off, to the rubber feet to keep it stable and keeping the metal from scratching your working area.

The low profile viewing and typing angle that this stand gives the iPad is perfect for my situation, and as mentioned I find typing on the iPad's screen while it is resting on it very comfortable.

However, it can be wobbly at times (but it may be because uneven surfaces). Also, when using a magnetic case with the iPad, the case tends to attach itself to the stand which forces my to detach the case each time I place my iPad on it. Not a deal breaker, but certainly not ideal.

Lastly, it is not so portable. Since this is a solid unit that does not collapse or fold in any way, moving this to a different room or workstation is a hassle...

Also I think that when the iPad is not resting on it and the stand itself is exposed, it is not very pretty and definitely not a very nice addition to my desk.

Disregarding these minor flaws, which are very small in my opinion, i find this stand to be complete useful and I am very happy with my purchase.

Perfect for the iPad Pro
by wiremup (5 out of 5 stars)

Twelve South did it again. They've made another not only beautiful product, but solid and very functional. I just got my iPad Pro and I'm learning to make drawings for cabinet plans with the Apple pencil. The biggest issue I had drawing on it was the angle of the iPad itself, laying flat on the table just wasn't comfortable for me. This stand holds it at the perfect angle to do my drawings. Was it a it expensive, yes, but well worth it in my book. I have several Twelve South products and they've never lost quality since day one. Now if they'd hurry and make a bookbook for the iPad Pro I'd be all set

Highest praises

The box it comes in definitely has heft. Open the beautiful box and I'm presented this largish chunk of precisely crafted metal. It aligns with the Macbook Air 13" perfectly. After using it for a while, I really like the angle of the laptop that the screen is closer to my eyes at a elevated height which I enjoy. If the stand is a pair of heels, the computer is presented more beautifully. But the main reason I got this is for my daughter to draw using the large iPad Pro. In that case, the angle is perfect to draw on, write, read and watch. Solid and high quality, very pleased.
