Works great except for strap starting to frey

Purchased this for my husband to use with his dog trailer because he often has to hitch up on his own. Often he has to park in difficukt and tight spots, including in the dark where a camera is limited. Its been great for this and it has enough adjustment to it to keep the trailer level. We're very pleased with it. All except for the nylon strap that is starting to frey on the edges already. I would have given it a 5 star review if it were not for the freying strap.

This is my go to hitch! I can hitch up by myself with out getting in and out of the truck a dozen times!! The weight of the hitch is the only draw back for me but should be expected considering the size.

All in all, I really love it!!

Ignore the other 2 people that don't even have this hitch. This hitch is slick. Sure, I could have gotten a backup camera, but then I have to mount it. Then I have to hope weather or road debris don't take it out. Oh, then I also have to run wires for the camera to a monitor I also have to mount somewhere. Instead, this can be used on any vehicle with a compatible receiver.

Swings my cargo carrier out of the way!

Used to be I had to unload the cargo carrier before I could open the hatchback on my Tahoe. I love the fact that I can hook up my cargo carrier to the Reel Quik hitch, load up the cargo carrier, and still access the hatchback by swinging it out of the way.

This is basically a balancing review. A product should not be rated negatively unless you've actually used it. Since a couple of people unscrupulously decided to give this item 1 star based on nothing more than their outside opinion, I've decided to give it 5 stars based on mine. I can certainly see this hitch being useful in several situations, particularly with older vehicles that don't have back-up cameras and when you want to easily access the cargo area of some SUVs. A product review should be based on the item's ability to deliver on its promises, not the opinion of someone who has never used it. Feel free to disregard my review, but you should also disregard the two stupid and ridiculous 1 star reviews. If you do that, this is a 5 star product.
