I got these to help separate my toes because I had a Mortons Nueroma(sp?) removed a while back. This has totally helped! I wear them in the evening or to bed and it make my toes feel unsquished from being in shoes all day.

Comfy and healthy

I bought this for my girlfriend who has hammertoes and metatarsalgia. She said they are so comfortable and will help with her healing. We are both physical therapists. I can see the benefit of keeping your toes separated. When your toes are always closed into a narrow shoe, you tend to lose toe strength, which can lead to weakened arch. I just thought it would also be a good idea to wear these while painting your toe nails if anything!

Do they really work, or do they just distract me enough to correct my own stance...?

I bought these to try and correct, or at least relieve, some issues I've been having with my left foot. Basically, the arch has all but collapsed and my ankle has started rolling in. Somehow, this is also affecting the two outermost toes on my left foot, causing them to kind of roll under the toes to their right. I think they're trying to correct for the ankle rolling. This has all been happening over the course of many years (presumably something to do with my shoes), but about a year ago I took up running and I feel like it's become more pronounced. To be clear though - this doesn't hurt at all, it's just annoying. So, I purchased these socks to try and correct the rolling of my little toe and its neighbor. Basically forcing them to stay apart, and, by default, adjust my ankle stance. I'm happy to say they do actually help - to a point.

I cannot confidently say they actively "stretch" the toes apart, but they most definitely separate them, and it feels nice. The socks themselves are quite thick, as are the toe separators (as you can tell from the product images in the description), but they do condense a bit once you've had them on for a little while - like, within 30mins you notice the toe separators are a little thinner. They still do the job though. With both the sock and the separators being so thick I cannot wear these in most of the shoes I own so I use them mainly when I'm home during the day, or when I'm in bed sleeping. They do take some getting used to when walking around in them - the area under the ball of the foot in particular is quite uncomfortable, but my feet do adjust, to a degree. Definitely wouldn't run or hike in them! When I have them on I do think they help - although I'm not sure if it's the socks themselves helping, or because I'm so conscious of my foot when I have the sock on that I adjust my stance subconsciously. Either way...

One thing worth mentioning, and it may be unique to me but I think I should say it - when I wear these to bed nine times out of ten I wake up in the middle of the night with my little toe in a lot of pain and I and have to either take off the sock, or at least remove the separator next to that toe (like, loop it over the toe so it's on the outside of my foot and my toe is not separated from the one next to it). I have no idea what causes this. It feels a little like the blood circulation is being cut off and perhaps if I'm lying on my side my little toe is being squished...the pain goes away as soon as I remove the sock and there's nothing to suggest it's causing an actual issue with my foot so it doesn't bother me very much. Also, with summer coming I won't be wearing them to bed for too much long - they're very warm!

No issue so far with pilling or permanent stretching of the fabric, and no pulled fibers, not even after dozens of washes. On that note, I put the socks in a delicates laundry bag, toss that in the washing machine with my regular clothes, add detergent and fabric softener, and use warm water. No problems there. I don't put them in the dryer though. In terms of fit - I'm a US women's size 10-11 and these fit just fine. They have good stretch, but they don't feel too tight or compressing.

I had been given a pair of the "brand name" version of these a few years back. I teach dance for a living and foot and toe care are especially essential for longevity in our industry. I LOVE mine and bought these as stocking stuffers for my teachers this year! They all loved! They separate the toes, relieve pressure on the joints, and realign the bone structure within your feet! Highly recommend for those that are on their feet a lot!

Love these!

I bought these for my son who has cerebral palsy. His toes curl under and are scissored on top of each other. These by no means will permanently correct his toe issues, however, they do help with the cramping in his feet. They separate each toe and give him a gentle stretch. He wears them most of the time. He said his feet and toes have never felt better! I am going to buy several pairs of these!

Foot Alignment

Fits as expected. Comfortable and warm. Wear heels about 5 days of the week. Read somewhere that these socks help with feet/leg muscles. Feels weird at first with the toe separators, but you get used to it. I wear them to bed. Feel the pull of my muscles in my feet and legs, but it's not uncomfortable.

Well made but doesn't really do as advertised.

Wife is a dancer so she spends a lot of time with sore feet, thought this could help her but she just finds them uncomfortable to wear and without any real noticeable difference either shortly after or after several uses. They were however well made so if this works for other people, these are definitely a decent pair to go with.

These work well to alleviate pain while sleeping.

These socks function as they should. I have a Morton's neuroma that will likely need surgery. It sometimes causes me pain when I am trying to sleep. When I wear these to bed, they relieve the pain-perfectly. For function I would actually give them 4 stars but I dropped a star for looks and durability. These start pilling almost immediately after they are removed from their packaging, so they look terrible right away! My other complaint is that they hot! I wish there was a more breathable option available in these socks. I live in Florida so a version of these in cotton or some sort of mesh would be wonderful.

Having had bunion surgery a couple of years ago, I noticed my big toe was turning somewhat into the next toe on both feet and rubbing on the second toe. Wasn't sure these would work, but I was pleasantly surprised. They are very soft and well made. Just a bit difficult to get the separator between my last 2 toes since I have small feet. I wore them the first night most of the night and they felt good. They come in a clear ziploc-type pouch which I keep in my nightstand so I can use them at night. Really like that they move my big toe and straighten it out and actually feels better. I did try them with a pair of go walk sketchers and you could wear them with shoes if you choose to.

Comfort for Hammer Toes and Plantar Fasciitis
by Amazon Customer (5 out of 5 stars)
March 8, 2019

If you have hammer toes like I do, get these socks! I have a hammer toe, one on each foot. I wear these socks at night and they are the best purchase for foot ailments. I also have plantar fasciitis and I wear these socks underneath ped-socks during the day when I am at home and my feet get fantastic relief! Great, great product. I have purchased a total of five. I have machine washed and machine dried one pair - came out great! Five Stars for me!
