Nice looking costume, but has its limitations.

Let's start with the negatives for this costume: It's really time consuming to put on. It took me and my wife 30 minutes to get it on. I'm 6 foot and about 210 lbs and it's snug as heck on me, particularly in the waist and hip pieces. I think an ideal person for this suit would be 5'10" and 180 pounds, in terms of fit. The helmet is ridiculously large. It looks silly. I recommend buying a better helmet. We couldn't get the shoulder pieces to go all the way up, so they hung a little awkwardly. It is IMPOSSIBLE to sit in this suit. I actually had to crawl into the back of our van and half sit/half lean to make it. If you buy this, you should expect to have to put it on once you arrive at your event. The hand pieces are a little cumbersome and the hand lights move around too much. It is REALLY hard to walk up and down stairs.

Now for the positives: Overall (if you can fit into it), it's an impressive looking costume. I wore it to an elementary school Halloween function and the kids loved it. There were plenty of "oooos" and "aaaahhs" from the little ones. My son was really excited to see his dad as Iron Man. It seems to be fairly thick plastic they used to make the costume. Not brittle. For the money, it's the best Iron Man costume I could find.

Not bad for the price, but needs work

This is not bad for the price, but needs work. First off is the really bad over sized head. If you spent $800. plus on this, then put out an additional $100. for the Marvel Legends Electronic Helmet, that's what is in my pictures. It was well worth it. I dropped the jump suit that comes with it and got a red spandex suit for $20. Then purchased a yard of Metallic red spandex fabric and sewed a piece around the upper thigh and crotch area and on the arms between the bicep and for arm area onto the spandex under suit. The gloves are crap, so I will be replacing them soon and the shoulders are too wide, so I carefully heated the inside of them with a heat gun (BE CAREFUL) to reshape the too wide to more narrow shoulder pieces. With a little time and creativity this suit can look pretty decent for under $1000.

Great Armor but Horrible Helmet... You will need help to put it on

YOU WILL NEED HELP TO PUT IT ON

I am 5'6, The jumpsuit fit well and the armor was just a little big but I managed to put it on.

overall the Velcro pieces are well positioning but they are very unstable, mostly the chest piece. the reason why I'm giving this product a 4 star is not because of the armor, but because of the helmet. design is horrible, way too big and it just looks cheap. luckily I had already purchased a limited edition MK-III with magnetic sensor and amazing LED lights so not a big lost there.

Too expensive

This is just too expensive in regards to what you get. You really look and feel awkward in this, the plastic pieces are to short so you do see alot of the undersuit. The helmet is really big and looks funny. Not sure what version this suit is supposed to be but its just awfull.

A Pretty Awesome Costume!

We just got this in our store today and put it on a mannequin. I'm very impressed with the quality. The arc reactor, palm repulsers, and the top of the eyes all light up. It attaches with Velcro and buckles. The directions were easy to follow, but it's obviously a pretty involved process.

Our tribute to our favorite super hero could not be any better. Ironman looks great on us and on our mannequin! Perfect purchase!
