I'm a novice sailor, even less than a novice & my beau is an expert & used to race his sailboat and WIN.
SO, what a GREAT way to learn a little about knots.
Yes, beau was VERY impressed that I took the initiative!
The mug is ATTRACTIVE, sturdy and likeable.

For an EXPERT sailor, it would be appreciated!
HOWEVER, first cup of coffee in the A.M. after weakening & tie a knot? I don't think so! LATER!!! Ha!

This is my fourth mug from this company. Love them all. Great humor, quality and fast shipping. Have yet to have a problem. This one is for my friend who has a PhD in knot theory and does not know how to tie a knot...lol

I bought this mug for my hubby. He learned a lot during his military career in the US Navy and when I see a unique item that will bring a smile to his face, I can't wait to buy it for him. He loves it! We have several full-size cleats in the garage - now he has one on his coffee cup. It made my Seabee smile. I'll be checking out what else this company has...

I'm a rep in the maritime industry, so when I saw this I just had to have it. It showed up in one piece and looks great and sturdy for years to come. The "rope" are cheesy shoe strings, but I like it lol.

My wife is learning to sail so I got her this mug. It's a great conversation piece, and handy for practicing new knots. I guess you could drink coffee with it, but we haven't tried that yet.

A nice, well crafted ceramic mug with a comfortable handle. Perhaps it's the cleat, but I feel so much more secure holding the mug. Makes a great gift for the sailor in your life.

This is my 3rd one I have bought because I love the interactive aspect of it and the cleat handle. It is such a clever and cute design however one broke just taking a sip of it, one broke while holding the handle and washing it, and this one broke one of my friend put it down and I will be honest to put it down kind of hard because she was shocked at what my other friend said but it was nothing even remotely close to enough Force to break the handle had it been made right. The handle came off again and the mug broke for a third time :-( so unhappy because I love the mug and I guess it's just not meant to be! Definitely not durable.
