The bed is Machine Washable, the filling will not clump or shift in the washing machine.

My 7 lb chihuahua ADORES this bed. I just bought all new throw pillows and blankets for the living room and kept finding them flat with the corners smashed in when I got home from work. The second I pulled this bed out of the box, he knew it was his. He dove right in and I haven't seen him sit on a pillow or suckle a blanket since.

Cute for small pups

I got this for my chihuahua puppy we were bringing home. At six weeks old this was a perfect starter bed for her. She instantly loved it and her "safe place" from our 2 other grown dogs. She has since gotten a new bed because we picked her sister as well and it is a tight squeeze for the 2 of them.

Soft, Perfect for my Small Chiuahua

Love this pet bed! Got it for my smaller Chiuahua who likes to burrow. She slept in it the first night! It is very soft. It looks kinda like a miniature sleeping bag. When she's warmer she curls up on top of it, then sometimes crawls inside. She looks adorable peeking her little head out. I check the padding inside the bottom to make sure it's not going completely flat. If it ever does, I may get another one or put a fleece square under it. I recommend this to anyone who has a little dog or average size cat, who loves to burrow under something everyday. Very, very soft! : )

Update!

It has been well over a year and I have washed this bed with great success. It came out just like new! I continued to use it for my lil' girl, but after her having an accident on it, I just decided to buy her a new one. Still great quality and same materials. I definitely will buy these for her as long as I can. These are wonderful!!!

My Chi LOVES this!

My 6 1/2 pound Chihuahia loves this bed so much that this is the second one I bought for him. He now has one upstairs and one downstairs. He lays on top of it when he's warm (not often) and snuggles in when he wants to be warm. It's soft like a sleeping bag, rather than a "house" type opening, which he loves. He has no trouble getting in or out. It washes well and comes out of the dryer looking like new. I may buy more for back ups because I'd hate to not be able to replace these when the 2 he has eventually wear out. The size is perfect for my dog, but it is small. I think it would be best for a dog or cat 10 pounds or under and one who likes being under blankets.

WAY too small for my small dog and isn't flat on bottom like picture

This looks like a cool little cozy place for my small dog. The measurements seemed large enough. But when it came, the bottom isn't flat so it won't stay propped open and inviting. Besides, it was way too small for my chihuahua mix who is 14 pounds.

A good buy

I bought this bed with the hope that my dog would use this rather than my blankets and sheets, especially when he has his own, but I understand he doesn't have the thumbs to always lay them out in such an inviting way so he is left to use mine. However, my dog refuses to actually use this correctly. He will not go inside, but instead will sit on top of it, which makes it no different than any other bed he has. I have to physically place him inside ALWAYS, but once he is inside he stays. I still gave it a good amount of stars because this is a behavior issue rather than a product issue. I did take one star off though, because this thing is a lint trap and if I knew this before I purchased it, I probably would not have gotten black. This thing had a lot of lint on it day two, and had me thinking hard about where all the lint could have possibly come from. Maybe this is not a problem for other people, but when it sits in my living room I like for things to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

My sphynx kitten loves this bed! She's 10 weeks, maybe one lb. Tiny thing! Definitely a single animal bed, for small animals.

Perfect for small dogs

My 5.5 lb Chihuahua crawled right in and it's her fav bed around the house. We also bought another bed with a cover, but that "hood" sits above my Chihuahua. The Ethical Bed Sleep Zone folds down around my dog, creating more of a seal. The first pic shows her nestled at the front of the Sleep Zone bed and shows how the cover settles around her. It is also super soft to the touch. The second photo shows her in the other cuddle bed and you can see how much open space is around her. The Sleep Zone is perfect for smaller dogs, and my 20 lb pug loves it as well. There bed is deep enough that the dog can sleep at the front, our if it's really cold, snuggle down into the bed.

Perfect Plushy Cave For Small Dog!

Absolutely love this! It's the perfect size for my 4 pound chihuahua. The quality is great. It's so soft and plushy. The opening is sturdy enough that he doesn't have any trouble at all getting in. It's machine washable! We're both very satisfied!

Just arrived today! On a Sunday, a day ahead of scheduled delivery! And so far, it's a hit! My 7 year old, 10lb Dachshund loves it! I opened it up and placed it on the floor to shape it, and she hopped right in! Hasn't moved yet. I got it for her because she's always cold, and loves to burrow underneath me and my blanket. We'll see how this works out this winter. Especially when it's time to wash it. If I order another one for her, I'll try to get the next size up, because I think the opening could be a little larger for easy entry, but we'll see. Right now we're both two extremely satisfied customers!
