You Get What You Pay For
by Corey Nahman (2 out of 5 stars)

First of all, it took more a month to get from China to New York. Second - there is no leather pouch, no container. Third - it's smaller than I expected.

The Phillips screwdrivers are useless - the tips are rounded off to when you apply a slight amount of torque, it pops out of the screw head. The ruler is off by a sixteenth of an inch.

All in all, I look at it as a novelty, useful do open boxes and cut string. I don't see myself using it for much else.

If you want something with quality and usefulness, get something else. I have to stop making impulse purchases.

Not good for much. It is small, parts are stamped. Low quality. May satisfy a small gadget craving. Not something I would want to depend on in hard times.

Keyring tool

What leather pouch? Locking clip? I don't think those q/A's were about this item. Thus is like a carabineer clip that has a few gizmos attached for what I don't know. The little screw driver is still to wide for eye glasses, the Phillips sort, I guess for ?? It didn't work in tightening a computer screw. Too compact for "driver" part to get at anything. The box cutter. Ok. How do you get the box edge to the blade . It's positioned in the middle. Who designed this? Did they even try out the proto type. Like you took a bunch of ideas through all in one neat gadget making them all completely useless.

But for less than $2. Well if 1000 people bought it. An easy $1500. After writing and thinking I deduct a star, to 2. It does seem durable. Keep it in your pocket. If someone aggravates you, Chuck it at their head.

I love the impossible-to-get-to blade. For it can be used, I have no idea. Cutting a stray thread! I thought I'd lessen the stars given, but 2 is ok, for price and I used the little pry bar part to open the box. But I like using things for their intent. This is not what it was intended for. Maybe you should put a sharp edge there. I thought maybe the blade swivels out. Nope secure, and safe. Safe because you can't get to it. Though you may cut your finger trying to use it. I'm sure they are better pocket tools out there. But again at less than 2 bucks, through it in glove compartment or utility draw, some use might pop up.

Worth the buy if you want a convenient little gadget sometimes

Exactly what I expected.

I haven't tested all the gizmos on it but so far so good.

Leather pouch didn't seem to fancy, looks fragile but does the trick.

File is nice, the large flat edge of the pry bar works as a big flathead screwdriver. Rotating piece is greased up and works alright (though I thought it might rub off the paint over time). Clip is sturdy. Box cutter works great, just think of it like a saw not a knife (it will cut through in one go if you keep it pressed parallel to the box). The prybar can cut a little too. Haven't used Philips head or any wrenches or the wire cutter but they seem fine. Ruler is accurate when compared to a few of my measuring tapes.

It is small, but I wanted the size. Perfect for my keychain!

So not sure why people are hating on it, I guess don't use it as the tool for the job but as the stand-in for the job. It's likely not intended for heavy use though I'd say it's probably good for it.

FIXR has bad clip
by Brian F. Peyton (1 out of 5 stars)

FAIL, unbeknownst to me, the tool came off of my keychain and is nowlost forever. The clip is the issue because it would keep coming off my keychain in my pants pocket.

Original post: Perfect size and now part of my keychain.

Chinese Junk selling itself as a real tool
by Michael Doerr (1 out of 5 stars)
July 5, 2016

Cheap Chinese knockoff of an already cheap product. Little to no use as an actual tool, since all the edges are rounded off and the materials are soft and cheap. The "gold titanium plated disc" is reproduced with a cheap brass casting that has no machining on it at all. The writing on the disc is white, unlike the real ones which are black. The box cutter feature is just cast, rounded bumps, with no sharpening or even real attempt being made to copy the tool except in appearance. The cutting blade will at least cut string, but noting really heavy duty. I should have known this was a joke from the price tag alone, but it's completely worthless junk. DO NOT BUY.

Sucker for multi-tools...
by EASY TRAVELER,Top Contributor: Camping (4 out of 5 stars)
July 14, 2016

All the way from China. $2 and change shipped. The flat screw drivers need a little tweaking to work. The phillips screw drivers might hold a phillips screw or bolt while you tighten a nut. Ditto the wrenches. The file is, well, good enough to smooth a clipped nail. Some of the features might actually be hard to use due to the design. Although it looks fairly decent in that the finish is good, there may be a durability issue.

Clipped to a messenger or pack it's something better than nothing but just barely. I don't think TSA would object. Even if they do you haven't lost much. Only four stars for a wonky design. I take a small pouch of real multi-tools on most trips. TSA looks at them but mostly out curiosity I think.

Good novelty item, good bottle opener, awful everything else
by Chingiz Boldyrev,Top Contributor: Cycling (3 out of 5 stars)

Screw drivers are incoviniently located - I can never use them because the tool itself is preventing access to the screw. The wrenches don't fit a single nut on my bicycle.

But this thing makes a MIGHTY fine bottle opener!

Everything aside, it's a not a tool - it's a novelty item that you'll show to your friends, so don't get your hopes up.

Exaclty what I expected.

This Item does exactly what I intended it to do. I use it to stab tape, cut tape or pry open well glued boxes. Keep it on left wrist magnetized to a GWHOLE 5 Pairs of No Tie Elastic Shoelaces for Sports and Outdoor Activities,Black cobra bracelet. The magnet was obtain from an old defunct Hard disk drive that I disassembled to get the magnet from. None of the objects on my wrist have cut or scratched my wrist from wearing it.

I simply pull the item horizontally off the magnet in a sliding motion with the free hand and go to work, when done I just get the fixr tool close to the wrist to snap back onto magnet and continue to work.

Buyer Beware
by R.J. Thayer (1 out of 5 stars)
July 19, 2018

Well first, it took over a month to arrive, and when it finally did it was not in any packaging, just an envelope. I thought that was a little weird, but I was even more surprised by the size. I know other reviewers said it was small but this is sized for a gnome. It was also very clearly used, there is dirt and scratches all over it. Do not waste your money on this.
