Kinda breaks the immersion, and needs updating

As a person well versed in game review, this is a technical game too, and of course this game is based off of the learning tool jedi padawans use to master becoming a Jedi. And this game has a lot of cool facts on the starwars universe and the steps it takes to be a Jedi. But coupled with the random facts of the solar system kinda breaks the immersion. It's good to teach children about the solar system and stuff, but as any young gamer would know, mixing education, games/toys, and licensed movie themes don't mix well. On the bright side, there's more knowledge of the force than this little cube brings than irl facts, which is a really good to teach children and also relates to the Star Wars universe. Not to mention that this thing is really smart but it needs an update for solo and the last Jedi, not that any of the new characters are memorable, haha.

Impressive.

We have had normal "20 questions" games in our family before, but I got one of these for my 12 year old star wars crazed child.

He loved it! He thought of some very random star wars things, and it knew what he was thinking. Very cool toy, price was great too.

This is why I love amazon, I come across the strangest most unique things sometimes.

Great for amusement, but not a long-term source of fun

I really enjoy playing with the Holocron. I got it knowing it had no knowledge of Episode VII and am still amused with it. It has information from The Clone Wars and the first six movies. It's downfall is that, like many of the 20Q-like products, it gets boring when you exhaust your own knowledge. I also don't like that there is no easy way to stop a round if you messed up (e.g. because the buttons are difficult to press, I thought I said "Yes" to "Location" but it thought I said yes to "Being" and so I was very confused when it asked me about clothing and abilities when I was thinking of Hoth!).

This will end up being a fun shelf item, it is stunning and looks like a prop when not in use.

I purchased this for my Star Wars loving husband and it is a hit! He loves playing this thing (not a gamer) for something to do just to kill time and he also loves showing it off to his friends. Worth the money and a lot of fun for the kids and the hubby! 9 times out of 10 it guesses correctly (and I think it would be 10 out of 10 if they knew how to correctly answer each question). You really have to know your Star Wars trivia to be able to answer some of these questions correctly but if you do, its a great buy.

Got for my husband along with the sith holocron for largely display reasons. It's got old and new Star wars data and a science insert about algorithms if you want to claim it's educational. Tried a few times and it guessed correctly each time. It lights up too and you can turn off that function.

My brother is very much into Star Wars stuff so this was right up his alley. Put it in his stocking and he was pretty excited to play with it. Haven't heard much more about it, but I know he was pretty thrilled to see it when he undid his stocking.

Great gift for a star wars fan

Got this for my nephew for his birthday. We had a fun time with it right away. We beat it a few times but I have to say it's pretty impressive with guessing correctly. It actually takes a decent amount of knowledge of the series to use it correctly. We caught a spelling error or two. However, I still definitely recommend this. Great gift.

Super cute idea and fun after-dinner entertainment. I could easily give it 5 stars, but held back one because those in the Star Wars nerdery were sure they were answering the questions correctly and several times the Holocron either took more than 20 questions OR guessed wrong. BUT, even the questions and wrong answers spurred conversation, so overall a fun thing!

This is so small! I thought it would be big enough to hold with both hands and it fits in the palm of my 8 yr old daughters hand...
