Piece of crap like most "As Seen on TV" junk
by AshGray (1 out of 5 stars)

As with most products that are: "AS SEEN ON TV", this is a piece of ceramic crap! It does not make perfect eggs like the picture or video shows, but a mass of hard eggy glop that is not edible. The lid doesn't fit well and can pop off in the microwave and can break and crack your glass turntable as well. Doesn't make poached eggs as indicated, they either over or under cook into a runny mess, the scrambled eggs are not fluffy even after you try to fluff them with a fork, adding ingredients such as mushrooms, onions, peppers, is virtually impossible because they take up too much space and you can only use one egg to prevent overflow. You can only add ingredients up to the fill line inside the pot which is 1/2 way up the side. Can hold 2 eggs to this line but nothing else. Also, the outside becomes hot to touch and since it is glossy, can slip out of your hands when using pot holders or a towel to grip it. Don't waste your money. I'm going to use mine to hold my M & M's or cat treats, that way I wouldn't have wasted my money.

Fantastic for the kids!

Great for an easy on the go breakfast, highly recommend, and I have now bought a total of 4, a couple for my kids and to share with a friend. Liked it that much! A bit hot coming out of the microwave, but if know that and use common sense, it is awesome. Fun to play with as well, try different ingredients & experiment, just remember to not go over the line inside... well I do just a little & everything was just fine. Enjoy the extra protein! Good health to you ;-)

Save your money use a ceramic coffee cup. This ...

Save your money use a ceramic coffee cup. This item isn't nonstick as it advertises. Before we bought this we just microwaved scrambled eggs in normal ceramic coffee cups with the same results.

It works.

But results arent comparable to the pics, nor can you use the full volume available (slightly below marker),

and it will still foam up that the top will fly off..

I dont expect like seen on tv/cook show results, but its not even anywhere close..

Not as advertised

1. Gasket impossible to get on even w/4 hands. Popped right back off as soon as we released it. 2. Did not cook in under a minute as it says. It was still liquid. When it finally cooked, it was not fluffy but more like a rubber ball.

Doesn't hold much
by L REA (2 out of 5 stars)

I wanted it to be able to make a two egg vegetable dish, but by the time I put in the two eggs, I'm already almos at the line that says maximum, which is only about half of the total size. I suppose it would work for a one egg vegetable dish or a two egg and no vegetables. It is cute. Too much hassle to send it back. So I may try it for just a simple 2 scrambled eggs sometime. Nice concept, but not enough capacity for me..

Good fast food when you need it
by Elizabeth (3 out of 5 stars)

Egg-Tastic is convenient to use when you don't want to bring out a frying pan. The only 2 major faults that I found with the product is that it is hard to clean and there are no handles for the crock. Egg sticks to the inside and will not wash off in the dishwasher. I had to soak it with water and soap for a few hours and I still had to scrape it. The crock gets so hot that you need bulky mittens to lift it our of the microwave. Trying to hold the crock upside down is tricky. I have tried a few ways to solve the egg scraping issue. Using Pam does not work and coating the inside with butter does not work either. I'm going to try to line it with plastic wrap next time. It takes usually 2 minutes to cook 4 eggs. I cook 3 jumbo eggs with shredded cheese and salsa for my scrambled eggs. I cook it for 1 minute, stir, and then place it in the microwave for another minute. Good fast food when you need it.

Time-saver that works reasonably well
by DLJ (3 out of 5 stars)

I like it. I confess that this is the second one I've purchased, because I broke the cup of the first one trying to release some cooked egg stubbornly clinging to the inside. Caution: _don't_ firmly rap the rim of the cup on a plate to empty it. It took me a couple iterations to find the right cooking times for my microwave (and when I would use a combination of raw egg and some egg-whites from a carton), but now it works fine. Occasionally the pressure would literally blow the lid off during cooking, so be careful. Let me echo other reviewers--The container is HOT coming out! Clean-up is okay. I soak the inside as soon as I empty it, and use a handled glass-cleaner. Good product when you don't want to, or don't have time to, fire up the range and a skillet to have a couple eggs. I've never been accused of being a "foodie," but they taste fine, too. Virtually no difference in taste between it and pan-cooking.

Happy with it, but not perfect
by Mrs. C (4 out of 5 stars)

Giving it four stars because my eggs always turn out perfectly, it's exactly right to keep at work and I'm overall pleased with it. But there are some cons, I should probably deduct more stars.
- Lid doesn't seal. It sits a little ajar but like I said, the eggs still turn out great.
- It gets so hot. It's ceramic so you can't grab it with your bare hands when it's done.
- The instrcutions aren't exactly right. Cook your eggs a little less than half the recommended time, stir, and cook just a little longer.
- It's hard to clean. The eggs stick to the sides and it requires scrubbing.

Easy to make egg scrambles in the morning.
by Real Doc (5 out of 5 stars)

I really like this microwave egg cooker and use it every day. I tried a ceramic coffee mug first after reading reviews but it didn't work as well as the egg-tastic. I think the key is the top on the eggtastic which essentially steams your eggs. I actually bought a second one of these because I liked it so much. I use liquid egg whited, cheddar cheese, and turkey sausage to make a scramble just about every morning. It does take almost 3 minutes to cook in my high power microwave but other than that this thing works as advertised. Clean up is not that difficult and doesn't require greasing the interior first in my experience. The picture is a little deceptive because you can only fill up the cooker half way or the lid will blow off when cooking but makes enough eggs for my needs

Just okay
by Maggie M. (2 out of 5 stars)

I ordered this for convenience. It arrived without instructions and packaging was slim. And luckily for material and videos online I was able to see how I could use it, make eggs, at what temp and timeframe. I've only managed to make 1 egg at a time and it cooks it throughout. Alot of sticking to the sides of the jar without any non-stick spray. And sometimes it is harder to clean out.
