*** Lowering my rating because the company is essentially trying to bribe me into removing my review to keep their rating up so they can continue to sell an inferior product.*** It's ok. Very fuzzy and grainy picture. It served the purpose but I wouldn't buy it again.

Worked fine at home looking in my ear

I hooked up and used on Moto G second generation with 4.4.2 android. Get the USB OTG checker app first to make sure your phone will even support this. Worked fine at home looking in my ear. At work it kept freezing up and I had to close and reopen the app several times. Wasn't the camera but maybe the app? Not sure if it's related to phone signal/wifi but at home my phone has great reception, while at work signal strength can be sketchy in places. Haven't got it wet yet so I can't say how well the water proofing is. If you're going to check a drain pipe, you will need a more rigid snake or wire to guide it in. No way will you be able to hand feed this through a 90 degree elbow that's further down the pipe. So far so good for the price. I wasn't expecting the same quality from this as from a dedicated and much more expensive bore scope.

Didn't work with my phone like it said it would. Nothing at all. Plugged it into my girlfriends phone and her phone froze. Plugged it into my computer and the light on the camera turned on but nothing else happened.
** Update**

Was contacted by BlueFire about the review, they offered to send me a replacement o we a year after I made the initial purchase. Turns out the first one I got was just a dud and the new one they sent me works great! Never had a company do that before especially after having problems and troubleshooting so long trying to fix it myself. Thanks fellas!

Received promptly and works as advertised. Used on Samsung Note and HTC One M8. Setup easy, just download CameraFI app from Google app store, just plug in and open the app. Image is clear and sharp, if there is bright light on the subject. However, I bought it to monitor bird box, and the camera's LED is not bright enough to see inside a dark bird box, another light source is required, but not really surprising since the camera light is powered only by the cell phone over a 30 ft cable. All being said it is a good product to see into tight places, just need additional light source if the camera is more than about 6 inches from a completely dark object. Also, the cable is very flexible so depending on the use some external support may be needed to guide the camera, support it in the desired location, etc. Taping it to a thin rod worked well for me. Will keep this one as I have other uses for it and look for a better bird box monitoring solution.

Set up was simple and quick. The cd provided allowed me to use the endoscope with my laptop, too. Picture quality could be better, but I can see most of what I need to when inspected bores of firearms. Hard to beat for the price.

Absolutely garbage! I knew I wouldn't get great picture quality for this price but it's so fuzzy you can't even tell what your looking at! Also requires you to download an app that has uncloseable adds blocking almost half the image.......don't waste your time and money on this product!

Ease of use was fairly straight forward. The stupid @$$ cd "software" is utterly useless. Honestly like the review below me no point in undoing security rights for a damn usb camera. I left it as is and with the help of the review below I put in Camerafi from the google store. Once that was in flawless and tested. I'm using this for automotive purposes more than searching down pipes so I will see if i ever into the "waterproof" test. Got the 32ft version just for simple fact that when you need more and don't have it you sing a different tune. Overall the dimmer function works well and hopefully this will be a nice addition to the old tool chest for the race car building/diagnosing.

Works with Chromebook

I can't vouch for its long term reliability, but the two times I have used it it worked very well and showed me just what I needed to see to avoid punching unnecessary holes in the wall. Those two time were relatively short runs, however, and produced minimal strain on the cable and connections. So far, so good.

What has prompted me to write this review, though, is that I just discovered that it works equally well with my four year old Samsung Chromebook. The next time I use the endoscope I won't have to disconnect and lug around my much more cumbersome laptop in order to get a larger viewing screen.

The credit for this 'discovery' goes to the good folks at Plugable and the excellent support documentation on their site for their USB 2.0 Digital Microscope: Plugable USB 2.0 Digital Microscope with Flexible Arm Observation Stand for Windows, Mac, Linux (2MP, 250x Magnification)
. The driver page for the microscope describes the single setting that might need to be changed to get it (and the endoscope) working under Chrome. No added software required.

I bought this for inspecting some difficult to access locations for occasional mechanical repairs. Worked fine out of the box, the adapter kit with mirrors are nice for seeing at an angle to the cable if you can rotate it to the correct position. I've only used it a few times and it is no longer working as intended. The camera sends an image, i.e. it connects, and the LED's still function but the it cannot form an image regardless of distance or light level. I speculate it heated up too much and either some adhesive condensed inside, perhaps on the lens.
