Works well, could use slight modification

Works well to keep the door propped open to air out and prevent mildew. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make one of the suction cups a hook for the elastic bungee to hook on so you don't have to remove one of the suction cups every single time you want to open the door. What that slight modification I would change my review to 5 stars.

I didn't want our new front-loader to end up smelly like our old one. I tried just leaving the door open, but it blocked access to the laundry room, and i was afraid my charging-like-a-bull spouse would knock it off its hinges. I found the Lasso when I searched for a solution. Yes, it's overpriced, but worth it to me to pay the smart person who invented this. I recommend it to friends, and gave 1 away as a gift to a niece with a new washer. I agree that adding a hook to one of the plastic suction cups would make it even better. And, yes, press HARD on the suction cups to make them stick.

I never write reviews, but I felt compelled to write one for this item. The days of carrying heavy items through our narrow hallway of a laundry room, only to be beat in the crotch by a washer door, are gone! I was trying to think of a crafty way to solve this problem for years but failed. Bravo to these guys, bravo..

A MUST HAVE for your HE Washer!

Genius! This awesome item is a MUST HAVE! I bought this item for my Mother who used a paint stick, bless her heart, to prop open her HE washer to prevent mold. I saw this online as one of Amazon's best gifts under $15 and had to have it!

It's too easy to use and Mom is 84. She got it the first time I showed her and it is awesome. There's even a video on YouTube that shows you how to use it. It really is the coolest.

I think everyone who has a HE washer should have one. It works no matter which way your door swings.

Solves a major problem with front-loading washers

We've been battling the age-old problem of musty odor in our front-loading washer. Turns out, keeping the door closed is a BAD idea. That's where the Laundry Lasso comes in. Its design is simple, easy, and just brilliant. One end of the Laundry Lasso attaches to your front-loading washer via suction cups. The other end hooks onto your washer front-door latch. The string between the two ends is just long enough to keep the door open and provide airflow to the washer.

Musty odors? Gone! Well done, Laundry Lasso! I'm telling all my friends and family about your brilliant product.

Works. Just takes patience

I had some difficulty at first. In fact tried it and it wouldn't stuck so just it away. After moving to new house with smaller laundry room, new washer door would not stay open. It would swing totally open and block passage thru the room. So I tried it again and was persistent this time. Now it works perfectly. Every so often it pops off but you just have to give it good push. Very happy with this product.

We needed something to help our washer door stay open without hitting the laundry room door. I ordered this hoping it was a solution. It works great when it stays in place. We have not had a lot of success in it staying. It would be perfect if we had a hook to stick to the door and side of washer so we can hook and unhook it. Great concept and works perfect for some.

Anyone who has a front loader knows the struggle is real. Having to leave the door open to air out can be actually dangerous and costly. I was extremely pleased to find this gem. It attaches with ease, just wet a little and stick. I only gave four stars because I'd like to see longevity. However, this is reta great buy!

Product works but kind of overpriced

While the door has two positions latched and unlatched this product is a physical reminder not to latch the door when the machine is not in use to prevent mold growth. Not 5 stars because I expected it would be a heftier product as the picture angle made it look bigger than it is - larger suction cups and a thicker cord would be more appropriate for the price charged. Bottom line the product works but a bit overpriced. If it breaks I'll make the next one with a couple dollars in parts.
