These are my go-to chopper when it comes to flying around the office or house. I must have owned 10 of these over the years plus a few which were fakes but still performed pretty well anyway.

Key Points About the s107g helicopters

Pros:
1. They hover well but once you get comfortable hovering, you can add some weight to the nose which makes them faster. Much more fun flying through the eagle pro gates at speed.

2. Easy to trim. Be sure to do this before take-off as its much easier than being airborne with a spinning fuselage
3. Precise landings. With a bit of practice, you can land this thing on a dime. The eagle pro helipad is a good size to practice your landings.

4. Tough litle flier. They can take a fair old beating.

Cons:
1. Battery only lasts about 5 mins and you cant use spare batteries since they are hardwired into the helicopter.
2. Infrared controller, so indoor only flying
3. Any wind or breeze from air-con will cause mayhem, they really cant handle that
4. If you crash into the tv, the blades can leave a scratch.......dont tell my wife but it was me who put those marks on our TV.

This wont be the last s107g I buy, they are great value.

Let me save you first-timers some money...

We got this RC helicopter for our careful 8-year-old son. We gave it to him for Christmas. By day 2 it was toast. But it isn't because he was purposely crashing. If you have never flown an RC helicopter before (and we had not) practice lifting off and hovering and touching down first. Do not let off that left throttle too fast and make you helicopter blades stop spinning or an imminent crash will happen. We figured this all out too late.

We bought him a replacement and emphasized that we all needed to practice hovering before anything else and work occasional steering into it. I don't think we will have a problem again. At least not for a long while! In fact, my husband and I both wanted to fly our son's chopper so we went ahead and ordered ourselves one, too. So, remember to learn to hover and to work the controls slowly and not over react and you will be golden.

I think these are very well made and for the price completely unbeatable for the amount of fun they are. I am a 35 year old woman and I have a ton of fun with these! As much as a 37 year old man and an 8 year old boy!

This is a nice affordable toy that's a good intro for someone new to RC helicopters.

Pros:
- Relatively durable
- Affordable

Cons:
- Charge plug that connects to the heli is very small and I don't know how durable this will be in the long run. Also i'm not sure if it's reversible and you can probably easily plug it in backwards. This may or may not damage it, I don't know. Can't really blame it too much for what I paid ($15).
- I ordered a BLUE heli but got a RED one instead. The sticker on the box even said it was blue, but it was mislabeled. This doesn't affect the product itself but it would have been nice to have gotten what I ordered. I decided to avoid the hassle of returning it and just kept it.

Overall its pretty good.

I gotta tell you, of all these types of mini helicopters I've tried, this one actually works. So many times I bought one and it would not fly. This flies. Not only does it fly, it survives crashes due to my ineptitude. I was turned on to this because I wanted a drone. A blog I follow highly recommended this particular model as a trainer before I spent the hundreds on a good drone. It takes about 40 minutes to charge and, unfortunately, you only get about 5-7 minutes of fly time per charge. That's really the only drawback....because once you get the hang of it you want to just keep flying. I have not let my kids try it yet so I don't know how it would survive their inexperience. Also, I have learned that the slightest bit of air flow will severely affect the flight of this. I mean....the slightest bit of air. If your A/C or heat is on and you fly by a vent, you will crash. I guarantee it. So, when I fly, I turn that of and no problems when I do. It takes 6 AA batteries for the controls. I'm really having fun with this now that I've got the hang of it. I recommend learning how to hover first and work out each direction one at time. The controls are uber sensitive so it takes an easy touch.

Beginners Basics

These are great little Helicopters they are tough and basically fly themselves right out of the box. If you are a beginner fly it indoors no wind or drafts AC off and pick the largest area high ceilings are really good take down all knickKnacks slowly get the basics of flight hover up down turn left right forward backward before trying to go in circles. the key is move the joysticks ever so slightly and if you see you are going to get out of control and/or crash immediately before impact QUICKLY pull back left joystick to stop all power. Do this and it will save you blade replacement. If you power into something you can destroy your Helicopter. You are going to crash thats part of learning so it doesn't hurt to buy another set of blades. If you do what I said you will minimize the damage and learn in no time. Oh don't let your friends fly it. NO SHARE RULE no.1

Nice toy for the price. However, there is a defect in the helicopter in that if you buy two of these and try to fly each one using their respective remote controller, each remote will control both of the helicopters at the same time, because although the remote controllers have a button to change the remote's frequency, the helicopters DO NOT have a way to change their frequency as you can with the remotes. So beware.

As a side note, this heli is the same model as the "Tenergy Syma S107/S107G R/C Helicopter - Yellow".

Simply fun for all ages

Simple and fun pretty much sums this up. We got one for our 6 y/o son for Christmas and he took to it easily where he now calls himself a master flyer. Within 2 days we had a second one in our house for my 10 y/o daughter. These are now our "go-to" birthday presents for our son's friends and we have since bought 3 more for a total of 5 from Cherrywing. We have another one of a different brand in the house which is a bit harder to control/fly because it is faster and snappy response.

They are easy to fly, but it is suggested you learn how to slowly lift and land before trying to maneuver around. Most should be able to learn within 1-2 recharges. They charge up relatively fast and have a decent flight time, although I personally would like to see more... it doesn't detract from the fun.

1) Don't know about this unit, as it's an X-MASS gift.
2) a 25 lb minx CAT.
3) bird catching wood burning stove ( I got the chimney fixed since then ).
4) years ago I was at "B B Y" looking for stocking stuffers, near the exit, they had a display of these inexpensive helicopters, I figured what the h=l! and grabbed one for my older son.
5) every time a bird got trapped within the glass door fireplace THE USUALLY MELLOW CAT WOULD GO NUTS.
6) even with us using a towel and a fishing net, 50% of the time a bird would get away from us before we were able to release it back outside.
7) the minx named Jinx would catch it and run. Seldom was this a good outcome for the bird (no matter it's size) but it was fun to watch this obedient normally docile cat. Anyway back to the helicopter. When my son played with it using unskilled hands, the copter soon received the same fatal fate as a bird. Which was also fun to watch.
8) 4 stars as I have NOT seen it work yet but anticipate a good time.

Update: seller was kind to state they'd send another. No info. Never showed. Not happy. Now what do I do? Will this seller allow me to return the product?

I've had 3 if these. The first two lasted for a long time getting used and abused. Just bought a S107 again and within 5 days it's dead. Not very happy considering it's been indoors and never flown over 8 feet with carpet landings. Dead in 5 days. But overall this is the best small hell in this price range.

Amazing for the price

My 9-year-old absolutely loves this helicopter, which he was able to buy with his allowance due to its low price. It takes some work to get the hang of flying it (he has the hang of it, we don't), but that's worthwhile considering the value. My son can now circle it around the family room with perfect control. It does tend to drop without warning if it gets out of close range, so fly it low if you're any real distance from it.
