Ridiculously Fun Toy!

Okay, I'm a kid trapped in a grown up! I absolutely couldn't resist this rubber band gun. I was not disappointed either, this thing is built well and is a blast to shoot. It's no different than shooting a rubber band with your finger except it's a semi auto 6 shot pistol toy thing! It's not cheap either, but some things are just worth the cost. If they weren't so expensive, I'd buy more for the family and arm them all. I shot myself in the arm at point blank range and it stung moderately. If kids do play with these I think safety glasses might be a sane idea, but WAY cheaper than paint ball. My better half hates it (and very much dislikes my behavior when I carry it in my pocket around the house). Butts are perfect targets! I also bought a four billion pack bag of very similarly sized rubber bands that came with the gun, so I'll never run out of ammo. Evil laugh!

Wonderfully made, simple wood construction plus 8 small screws. The design is simple but once I got my hands on one I was more impressed with it than what I saw in the pictures. No sharp edges or splintery parts, everything is nicely smoothed and finished. The rubber bands that came with it are the correct size as well.

The only con I would say is that with no rubber bands on it, the slide/trigger portion freely slides back and forth and rattles around.

I took it apart and made 2 notches, 1 on the back of the trigger block, and one on the main body behind it, to add a spring from a ball point pen. I then sanded down the sides of the trigger peice (just enough) that the 2 sides of the slide screw into. Now it is perfectly tight enough that it does not rattle around and still slides freely, and the little spring rebounds the slide forward without rubber bands on it. Now it is PERFECT! Love this little guy.

Short version: Really good quality and works as described. Very sturdy wood and rubber bands. Slightly annoying packaging though and not well wrapped. I still give it 5/5 stars!

Long version: I gave this to my husband as a birthday gift. He loved it and instantly opened it and started playing with it. The packaging wasn't wrapped so all he had to do was pull out the top cardboard piece and open the bag of rubber bands. It loads 6 rubber bands at a time and they shoot pretty far. Without shooting at the floor the rubber bands will go from 3-5 yards. They don't hurt if you shoot them at someone although I don't really recommend doing that. The product has stood through a week of almost non-stop play. I really like the design, its sturdy and well made. I was expecting it to be less quality wood than what it was but I am very happy with this purchase! I would buy it again if I had to do it over. And yes, you can turn off your lights at night with it!

Dislike your boss, co-worker, subordinate or delivery driver? Just pluck him/her off with a rubber band and all is well...until the next time. The good news is it's a semi-automatic, rapid firing up to 6 bands as quickly as you can squeeze the trigga. Nothing like feeling like the baddest OG (office gangsta) in the, well, office.

Now, for those of you thinking it, chillax. I didn't use words like shoot, gun, kill, etc., so there. I'm most certainly not suggesting we all go to the office and do something so henious, but there's nothing wrong with being silly.

The only way to keep from crying is to laugh. So do it!

Purchased to chase away the grackles and european starlings on our boat in the marina which has become overrun by flocks (thousands) of birds just before sunrise & sunset. Gun works great ~ birds don't get hurt but they don't stay either :)

the quality and workmanship are excellent. I love the multi-shot capability. I use them to disable cockroaches tor other large bug that get into the house - the other day a praying mantas got in, and I stunned it and threw it outside.

Bought it for a friend...we've shot each other multiple times with it, hiding behind walls or doors and so on. Might not be the best toy for super young kids because the bands do sting...got me in the eye twice. lol.

So much fun! I bought this as a Christmas present for my dad and he loved it. Of course, I just had to test it out when I got it in the mail. It took me a minute to figure out but it's pretty straight forward even if you're not given instructions- which you are- and shoot pretty far.
