I purchased this to make a family tree for my parents for Christmas. They arrived on time and in a solid tube so it didn't get damaged. Both trees were in the tube as well as 2 test papers so you can try your pen out on the same paper without testing it on the tree itself. Overall a quality product. My only issue would be as you get to the 5th and 6th generation, the space to write gets small. Could make the poster a bit bigger so we have enough room to write lost last two generations better.

What is as Beautiful as a Tree?

My son is interested in our family genealogy, so he will be receiving this, filled out, for his next birthday. The tree is a beautiful piece of art and I hope my calligraphy will do it justice. I had not paid enough attention to realize that I would receive two copies, which was a pleasant surprise, as I fear making an error; I'll be entering information in pencil first! I'm also tempted to experiment with colored pens or pencils to add a bit more color and personalization to the chart. I, too, appreciated the personal note that was included with these trees.

I purchased one set thinking they'd be great for me to start for our two boys; I ended up getting another set for my new niece and to display in our home! The paper is fantastic, the graphic/print is perfect. I gave my sister-in-law my niece's almost finished (minus her side) at the baby shower and I've got to be honest, it was the envy of all the gifts!! This is different than other family tree's I've found and goes with many home decor themes. *I prefer to use a fine gel black ink pen to write on it and have found that with a fine pen it fits most names.

Beautiful Chart

Two pages came in a tube. The quality seems good--I'm not an expert, but it met my expectations! It can be tough to fit info in the smaller boxes but I did it. This is a very nice print with the details all around the tree. I filled it out and took it to FedEx where I had it laminated for a low cost. It turned out really well and I am very pleased with the purchase. Note that the chart is not in a standard frame size.

The product is exactly what it said it would be, the price is excellent (especially since you get 2), they arrived properly packaged (in a tube), and it was delivered within a few days of ordering. These are Christmas presents for my kids and I am 100% pleased. I of course messed up only 4 names in (darn senior & junior tripped me up and I entered wrong dates) so good thing I had an extra. This means I can use the messed up one as a tester though for colors and different pens to see exactly what I want. *Picture added to show different colors & pens used* I have experienced no bleeding of ink at all!!! Also to address the small top generation writing area. This didn't shock me at all because that's how these charts just are. I didn't have a whole lot of trouble writing in them. I put the last name on the line and the first & middle name above the last *Picture added*. Also after screwing up I decided to draw a basic wheel and put the names and just the birth/death years so I can look at my sketched out chart before entering any info. This way it's the same format and I can follow it easier. *Picture included*

Anyway, if this is something you are interested in, I highly recommend!!!

Good quality, but showed up crushed on one side

I really like these posters, I bought them for my mom as a Christmas gift since she is working on our family tree. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because 1 side of the posters were crushed when delivered and I know it didn't happen in route because the outside tube was fine. It looked like someone was in a hurry and just crushed the rolled up sides of the poster while shoving into the tube. So that was disappointing.

It's nice, but the copyright information in the corner looks really tacky. I am giving this as a gift to my mom for her to hang up but am disappointed that it comes his way. Maybe it could go on the back?

Order white so you can correct mistakes!

This is a really nice-looking chart. Be aware that the writing space is very tiny in the two layer or two, so you'll want to use an extra-fine-tip pen. I ordered the sepia-toned ones and started writing really nicely - but inevitably made a mistake (on my mom's entry, no less!) and realized I couldn't correct it because the white-out showed up glaringly. So, that one turned into my "practice" chart. Which is fine, because you can't tell how much info you can fit until you try it, and it allowed me to decide on the best formatting. I am ordering the charts in white, and between the remaining beige one and a white one, I'll decide which to give to my brother and which to keep for myself. You could also color it if you wanted, or use different colors of ink for the writing, and it would look really nice.
